Summary: Series of oneshot that show what should have been shown during the
little moments, the dates, and the lessons between Hibari and Haru in the
fanfic, Teach Me Love.
My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things
untrue or some characters OOC and I guess I'll explain some stuff at the end of
the chapter, just so I won't spoil things! XD
I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I
did, there would be a lot more Haru loving!
Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise
and grammatically wise. lol, i still don't understand the beta system thing and
I don't really have time to re-read and edit things.

Haru looked at closed door in front of her in
set determination. Fear and doubt continued to haunt her, but she refused to
let it control her. She had, after all, promised Kyoya that she would teach him
about the joys of love! Er... powers, she meant the all-mighty power of love!
And so now, here she was, standing in front of
Hibari’s office, in order to ask him out on a d.... d.... d.... date!
Haru blushed and she stumbled backwards, before
facing the wall behind her in embarrassment. Oh gods, this was an impossible
task. The last date had ended horribly and since then, they hadn’t gone on one
since! How was she supposed to approach him on this topic anyways? He always
made things so frustrated for her.
The scarf and picnic incident came to mind and
Haru felt her gloom growing. Angrily she shook her head. This was not the time
to be agonizing over the past. This was a new, fresh start and this time, they
were going to succeed!
She stared at the door forlornly.
...but did she really have to be the one asking?
Sure, Kyoya had the social skills of a rock
–hence the reason why he was taking lessons from her about love!- but really...
did she really have to be the one to ask? Couldn’t he, for once, be the one by
inquiring about why they weren’t going on a date again? He was smart, after
all, so he must’ve noticed how despite how they started this whole lesson thing
off with a date, they hadn’t gone to one since then!
Haru glowered at the door, cursing Kyoya for
landing her in such an awkward situation, but squeaked when she heard the sound
of voices down the hallway. Oh gods, that voice sounded like Tsuna-san! She
couldn’t face him right now! Not like this! Especially not in front of Kyoya’s
office!
With a frustrated and confused battle-cry, Haru
roughly jerked the door open before slamming it behind her. She pressed her
back against it and waited with abated breath, listening with her heart
thudding in her throat as she heard Gokudera yelling at Yamamoto while Tsuna
tried to stop the brewing one-sided fight.
When she heard their voices fading away, Haru
exhaled heavily and slid down onto the floor in exhaustion.
Hearing their voices brought such sad nostalgia.
She missed hanging out and laughing with them. Heck, she even missed arguing
with Gokudera and hearing him calling her such rude names. But she couldn’t
face them... not when she still wasn’t settled with just how much Tsuna loved
Kyoko.
Until she was sure she could face them all
without revealing to them her true feelings, she would have to wait.
“Did I not already inform you about how you are
breaking school regulations with your mere presence being here?” a chilling
voice inquired from above.
Haru looked up and screamed at the sight of Hibari
looking down at her with tonfas at hand, a frightening purple aura surrounding
him while he glared at her in obvious displeasure. Knowing Tsuna and the others
were nearby, she slammed her hands over her mouth to muffle her scream and
waited until her heart wasn’t about to jump out of her chest before starting to
yell at him.
“Don’t scare Haru like that!”
“Did you hear what I said?” Hibari asked in the
same foreboding tone. “What are you doing here?”
“Haru is here to see you,” she said through gritted
teeth. “A boyfriend is supposed to be happy when their girlfriend took the
trouble of trying to see their boyfriend, not threatening them with weaponry!”
“Do you understand just how many rules you are
breaking right now? Why would that bring happiness to anyone?” Hibari countered
with frank irritation, though –to Haru’s relief- he placed the tonfas away.
“Hurry with whatever you’re planning and leave.”
Haru blinked. “You’re not going to hit Haru?”
Hibari sighed. “Whether I hit you or not, you’ll
continue to do whatever you wish.” He couldn’t even begin counting how many
times he had threatened her and she had still popped up in Namimori Junior High
without his consent. “So hurry and leave.”
“How rude,” Haru said in a huff, but giggled
when she saw Hibari twitch. She was then about to tell Hibari her plan for
their next lesson, but froze when she realized what she was going to have to
do... again! Oh why, why, why, why! Why did she have to go through this torment
again? Wasn’t it enough that she done this already at least once?
“Out with it,” Hibari said with an impatient
growl.
“Do... do... do... do...” Haru chanted, a heavy
blush staining her cheeks while she looked off into a far away corner.
Hibari watched her fumble and scowled. Walking
over to her, he grabbed her by the head, causing her to squeak. Leaning closer,
he said slowly so that her small brain could comprehend his words. “What. Do.
You. Want?”
“Do you want to go out on a date?” Haru blurted
out. Oh gods, he was too close to her. His presence was suffocating her. He
needed to get away from her!
He paused and for a moment, Haru thought she was
finally going to get a normal reaction from him. Was he stunned that she asked
him out? Would he... would he blush like a normal boy who was caught off guard
after being asked out by a pretty girl like Haru?
“No.”
Haru almost fell backwards when he released her,
having lost her balance due to his blunt and cold reply. Regaining her footing,
she looked at him incensed. “What? Why not?”
“Because going out on a date is pointless and a
waste of time.” Hibari said, making his way towards his desk. Silly girl,
bothering him with such trivial things. He had paper work to take care of and
later on, he had to make patrols around the town.
“How dare you say that?” Haru stormed in front
of him, slamming her hand on top of his desk. In a way, she was starting to get
a sense of déjà-vu by this conversation. This was so much like when she had
first gotten entangled with Hibari, when he had spurned the power of love. Was
she even getting through to him? Was what they all did pointless? “It’s so
couples can enjoy each other’s company! They’re going out with each other
because they love each other and want to be with each other!”
“Dates are pointless. And I can’t fathom how
just by spending time with people, strength can be found.” Hibari noted. “That
is not training. It’s just time wasted by people doing frivolous activities.”
“That’s not true. By spending time with another,
you grow to know more about them. Maybe you come to even love them. And by
falling in love with them, just by getting to know them better, you grow to
care for them and because you want to protect them, you grow stronger.” Haru
argued.
“If that is so, I have yet to see it.”
“I will show it to you!” Haru said with thorough
conviction. No one can survive without knowing about the wonders and powers of
love. “I promise you, I’ll prove to you the power of love!”
Hibari stared at Haru with his trademark
stoicism before he returned his attention towards the pile of paper on his
desk. “You may try to do so, but I still consider dates to be pointless.”
“What? Why?” Haru demanded. Gah, was there no
way of getting through to this thick rounded-headed jerk?
He stopped what he was doing once again and
looked her square in the eye, obviously displeased. “Because we are already
always spending time with each other, but they are not deemed dates. Why must
we go on even more outings that you believe are deserving of being titled
‘dates’ when we’re already being tormented by each other’s company?”
“Hahi! What do you mean tormented?”
Oh goodness, has she really taught him nothing?
He should have stopped talking before he got to
the insulting part!

Hahaha! As usual, they always made the heated conversations! Hibari is damn annoying. Sometimes he is killing me!
ReplyDeleteBut I started to like his development in the latest chapter though were he IS ACTUALLY SMILING A LOT! and not to mention he talked a lot, too.
Wow.
well anyway, whenever I read your 1886 it always made me love it again and again. Even though I sometimes lost interest on the fandom, I can't help myself reading your fics to make me love it. :D
This chapter is nice but I prefer the scarf chapter! I assume that Hibari looks good in purple, ne?
I wonder what will be the ending of this compilation of oneshots huh? oh well. At least I got to enjoy the happy fluff interactions between Haru and Hibari! Makes my day anytime!!
Hope to read more of this soon!!! XD
Another oneshot again! Don't know how many times I have said this and will continue saying it; it was a joy to read.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see an update from you I always get so excited! Your writing is always wonderful.
This is my second favorite oneshot yet in this series, right after Picnic.
I wish more people would review and let you know how great your work is.
This was lovely and most certainly looking forward to more!
Thanks for posting and Good Job!
