Notes

My first post on tumblr! It's the drafted sequel to 'Bargain' for Giotto x Haru that I didn't like how it turned out. I know a few were curious and now I finally have a platform to post my incompleted or 'drafted/discarded' work! :) Hopefully I'll have time to post other incompleted work or any work that I have written, but didn't have any plans on actually posting on my blog.

As for my current WIP, I'm currently working on Ambigram!

Teach Me Love - Chapter 15

Summary: "Show me this so-called greatness of the power of love," Hibari ordered. "Fall in love with me." Haru could only stupidly gawk at him. Just what the heck did she get herself involved in? HaruxMultiple Pairings

My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things untrue or some characters OOC! XD

I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I did, there would be a lot more Haru loving!

Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise and grammatically wise.  I don't really have time to re-read and edit things.

This chapter is dedicated to xxDevilsAngel28xx! Happy belated Birthday! Hope you enjoy the chapter!

I'm off to write the next chapter of Ambigram~!

Chapter Fifteen: Amusement Park Fun

HappyFace1886

“Bianchi-san, Haru is even more confused than before now.” Haru said with a bow of her head, staring at the steaming cup of tea that had been offered to her. The fiasco between Yamamoto and Hibari had nearly destroyed the dojo and it had concluded with Haru realizing her feelings... or the possibility of what she was feeling. In all honesty, Haru hadn’t really experienced true love herself.

Sure, in the past she had always claimed to like Tsuna-san, but that was just it! Like! Like was completely different from love!

It made her feel so foolish, especially because of how proudly she had boasted to Hibari about the power of love. She still believed that love was a powerful force... but she must have been out of her mind saying she’ll teach Hibari about love when she only knew about it in theory.

Bianchi took a sip of her tea. “Are you sure about your feelings?”

“Th-That’s the thing!” Haru said quickly. “Haru... Haru knows she feels something when she’s with Kyoya, but is it love? Is that the answer?”

“What about Tsuna-kun?” Bianchi inquired and noticed the look of conflict on Haru’s face. “You said you’re finally over him?”

“I-I don’t think I can even say there was really anything between us for there to be ‘over’.” Haru mumbled, fiddling with the handle of her cup. It had always been her declaring that she liked him, after all.

“Have you ever confessed to him?”

Haru blushed and stared at Bianchi wide-eyed. “Hahi?”

“You didn’t hide much when it came to your affection for him,” Bianchi said in amusement as Haru nearly knocked over her tea at Bianchi's blunt words. “But have you ever really confessed to him? If you haven’t even told him how you really felt, you can’t truly put an end to things between you two.”

“B-But that’ll just be Haru imposing on Tsuna-san!” Haru’s face became downcast once more. “Haru knows that Tsuna-san likes Kyoko-chan. It’ll only be a burden to him if I were to c-confess.”

“Really? I would think it would be another maturing point for him.” Bianchi replied calmly. While she did believe one had to be considerate towards the person they liked, the object of their affection always needed to have these sorts of experiences so that they could also be more attentive of the people they are with. After all... one-sided love was one of the most painful things in the world.

Haru sighed, the depression heavy on her shoulders when suddenly she abruptly stood up. “I’m going to do it Bianchi-san!”

The older woman looked at her in surprise. “Do what?”

“Haru is tired of always sitting around and thinking! I have to take action now!” she answered firmly. “Thank you for your help Bianchi-san, I think I know what to do now.”

Bianchi’s eyes widened as Haru suddenly stormed out of the kitchen. “W-Wait a minute! Don’t be rash-!”

Her cries fell to deaf ears. Haru ran up the stairs and to the door that would lead to Tsuna’s room. The more polite thing would have been to knock, but she was in too much of a hurry. With a rushed ‘excuse me’, she slammed the door open.

Gokudera, who had taken a bite out of a rice cracker, choked as it fell into the wrong hole while Tsuna fell backwards in surprise at the suddenly slamming of the door. Confused brown eyes turned towards where Haru stood. “H-Haru-chan, what are you-?”

“Tsuna-san,” Haru began before taking a deep breath. “Let’s go on a date together!”

Gokudera promptly started choking all over again as he swallowed the cracker wrong.

Meanwhile, Tsuna’s face turned into a bright shade of red as he held up his hands defensively. “Eh? What-What are you saying Haru-chan?”

“Haru recently got tickets to an amusement park and wants Tsuna-san to go with her!” she boldly proclaimed, pulling out a ticket from inside her pocket. She shoved it into his hand and ran out the door, her words echoing in the hallway. “She’ll see you tomorrow at nine in front of the park entrance!”

“Wait a second!” Tsuna yelled, but she was already out of the house.

Gokudera, who had finally dislodged the cracker, wheezed out. “What the hell was that about?”

The next day was a nice Saturday morning with blue skies. Many couples were holding hands as they walked towards the amusement park entrance. It was one of the hottest attractions due to how it had one of the biggest Ferris Wheels in the district, letting riders get a beautiful view of their surroundings. There were also several kids that were excitedly dragging their parents.

But amidst the happiness, Haru stood underneath a nearby tree, her heart pounding with fright.

Hahi, she was an idiot!

She should have listened to Bianchi-san about not being rash before she had made her decision!

...but it was true that Haru was tired of sitting around. And it wasn’t like she had made the decision without thinking about it. Her emotions were jumbled up and it was confusing her. The only way to get out of her situation was if she settled everything.

Haru jumped a little when she heard her name being called and slowly turned her head.

Standing a few feet away was Tsuna-san. His hair was a bushy mess as usual and it wasn’t as though he had particularly dressed for the occasion, but Haru felt her face blush and the pounding of her heart grow. The faintest pang occurred in her heart and she touched her chest.

So the feeling wasn’t completely gone then... did this mean she hadn’t felt it before because she was too busy thinking about Kyoya?

“Haru-chan?” Tsuna inquired in concern when she seemed to blank out.

She blinked and then shook her head to clear her mind. “Sorry! Thank you for accepting Haru’s selfish invitation.”

“No, no,” he rushed. “I was actually curious about this place since the news have been raving a lot about the Ferris Wheel here.”

“Haru heard about that too and that’s why she really wanted to get the tickets!” Haru said excitedly, momentarily forgetting her dilemma.

“How’d you end up with them, by the way? I heard that it was really hard to get them.”

She gave him a shy, enigmatic smile, but didn’t notice how he blushed when she did so. “Let’s just say that I have super-powered luck when it comes to lotteries.”

“R-Right,” he said nervously. Had Haru always been this cute? And she looked like she had dressed for this occasion, wearing a cute light pink colored dress and a cream colored jacket. Her hair was partially tied, allowing strands of her hair to frame her face. It wasn’t the first time Tsuna had seen her out of her uniform... but today felt different.

Could this really count as a date?

Oh man, he hadn’t been able to sleep last night, too busy thinking about why Haru had decided to ask him out.

“Let’s go!” Haru said eagerly, grabbing him by the arm and taking him towards the entrance.

Tsuna nearly fainted at how close she had pulled him towards her. Was she also wearing perfume? No, no, wait, the scent was familiar. It was something that had always tingled the edges of his senses whenever he was near her, especially when he helped her stretch before training.

The panic Tsuna felt was echoed by Haru who was frantically wondering in her head if she was being too bold by grabbing his arm. It made them really seem like a c-c-couple!

...wait, did this mean she was cheating on Kyoya?

That thought was promptly shut out of her mind.

She was not cheating on him because there wasn’t anything between them! Sure they k-kissed, but he never made his intentions clear with her and that was completely unfair to her. Besides, it wasn’t as though she had asked Tsuna out to make him her boyfriend...

No, there was a reason why she had called him out like this.

The pair was too consumed with their own worries and trying to prevent the other from realizing just how nerve-wrecked they were that they didn’t notice that from a few yards behind them, a certain silver haired boy was following them.

“Stupid woman,” Gokudera grumbled, peering through his dark shades. He kept the edge of the black cap on his head low so that his identity wouldn’t easily be given away. “Just what the hell is she planning to do with Decimo?”

And how dare she ignore him as though he didn’t exist when she had so shamelessly thrown herself onto his boss?

Him following around the two was also not suspicious! He was doing it to protect Decimo from that crazy girl! And he didn’t think Haru looked cute either, dressed up in that promiscuous dress that came all the way to her knees!

Grumbling, he began to follow the two, having managed to buy a ticket after convincing his sister to help him out a little. It also irked him when she had given the ticket while giving him a look that was a mixture of pity and encouragement.

“Your sister will always support you, even when you’re dumped!”

What the hell was that supposed to mean?!

From another angle of the park, a tall statured man with three piercings on his lower lip and a tattoo that seemed to be out of control from his face to his body spoke into the mike hidden in his collar.

“I see the girl. She’s with another boy, different from the Prefect.” There was a pause as he received information before he smiled, revealing the crooked teeth and the long slithering tongue. “Thank you Hideo-sama, you won’t be disappointed.”

Finally, his favorite type of game.

A game where there was no mercy towards strangers...

Anything goes as long as the target was caught.

Promise - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - R86

Summary: Haru is kidnapped! The brief meeting between Haru and her savior. And the promise he makes.

I think this would have been much better as a multi-chapter thing, but alas, I have too much work on my hands already. -__- Surprisingly, summer vacation was much more hectic than when I'm at school.

My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things untrue or some characters OOC.

I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I did, there would be a lot more Haru loving!

Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise and grammatically wise.  I don't really have time to re-read and edit things.

Edit: Many thx to xxdevilsangel28xx for correcting an embarssing mistake of mine! Name is linked due to shameless advertisement of the wonderful drawings this person has made! xD Another Haru fan, the artist is currently doing a Haru doujinshi~! So exciting!

HappyFace1886

“Who are you?” her brown eyes widened in fear and surprise at the sight of the tall man with the black fedora hat. She huddled in the corner of the cell, her clothes dirty and torn as she had been held captive for the past three days. Despite the terror she felt, she refused to let the defiant streak leave her, glaring cautiously from where she stood.

The piercing eyes that watched her darkened at the sight of the bruises and wounds that marred her face and body. However, there were no noticeable fatal wounds and judging by her alert eyes, she seemed fine. Lowering the edges of his hat to cover his eyes, he turned around to leave through the giant hole he had created on the concrete wall. “Come.”

“W-Wait,” Haru cried out, standing abruptly only to fall forward due to how she had been poorly fed. She clenched her eyes shut, waiting to hit the cold floors painfully when she felt a solid warmth hit her instead. Her hands reached out to cling to something for support and grabbed onto what felt like arms... arms that felt as though they were made of pure muscle.

She squeaked as she realized who she was leaning against and tried to pull back when an arm wrapped itself around her and kept her close. The way this strange man held her was unusual, not like a tight hug because of perviness... but it was a hug of anxiety and worry, something completely different from the pose this man carried.

“I’m sorry,” he murmured softly.

“W-Why are you sorry?” Haru asked cautiously, a full on blush on her face. She had never been this close to a man before and because of what he was saying, she didn’t have it in her to push him away just yet.

“When I brought you into the underworld,” his hand held the back of her head, pulling her closer to his chest, letting her hear the frantic thump of his heart, “I promised that I would never let anything happen to you.”

“H-Hahi?” what was he going on about? She had never met him before in her life!

“In fact, I rarely allowed you to be exposed to the dangers.” He continued. “With the incident with Byakuran, it was something that was out of my control... however, I still ensured your safety by keeping you in headquarters. It was away from the fights and the dangers. But now you’ve gotten in too deep and it’s my fault.”

“Who are you?” Haru asked, absorbing his words and trying to decipher what he was saying. Years had passed since she learned that Tsuna was of the mafia and if anything, she had brought herself into this world. Haru squirmed a little, wanting to pull away to get a better look at this man, but his grip was strong and he held her still.

“But perhaps it was me being selfish,” he murmured.

“Reborn, where did you go?” Haru heard an off-distant shout and felt her entire body freeze.

Reborn?

This time, when she pulled away, the man didn’t stop her. Held in arms length, she looked up and saw those intense dark eyes that seemed to pierce right through her. However, there was a familiar glimmer... a faint, intellectual light she had always seen when she was younger.

A light that belonged to that smart and powerful child.

“Reborn-chan?” Haru breathed out.

“Damn it Reborn, I told you not to leave me behind!” the voice was unmistakably Tsuna’s, but his cry was deaf to both ears.

Suddenly, the momentary weakness Reborn showed seemed to evaporate. He stood tall and straight, presenting Haru with the appearance of the man he was and always will be. Strong, proud, and confident.

With hands in his pocket, he, once again, turned to head towards the exit he had created. “Despite all these years, I’m still trapped in that infant’s body. I’ve never really had much desire to be free from that form... until now.”

Haru blinked, wondering what he could be getting at with that. However, the flush on her face grew deeper when he tilted his head, giving her a heated look quite different from the intense gaze from before. It was a look of want, of need... of how he wanted to hold her tightly in a much different way from how he had done just moments ago.

To run his hand through her hair, to press their bodies close together so that they can feel all that was of one another...

“I will be free from my curse,” he vowed. “And then I’m coming for you.”

Blossom - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - R86

Summary: The Haru factor is a question that has always driven Verde insane. What was her purpose in Vongola Family? What the hell was Reborn planning?

Haha, summary sounds way better than the actual thing. Probably because it's a oneshot that it makes it hard to write. -__-

Blossom

HappyFace1886

Reborn was known for being a lone wolf. He may occasionally partner up with others, but there was never one person that lasted for a definite period of time. If he did stay for an extended episode, it was because he was a tutor to that particular person. And even then, he remained distant and conserved.

To get the infamous assassin Reborn to be a tutor was also a difficult task. It wasn’t enough to just be friends with him to ask of him of such a favor.

Reborn himself had to be interested in the task at hand.

And so no one was surprised when Reborn took the job of tutoring the heir to the all-powered Vongola Famigilia.

The Vongola was one of the oldest mafia families in the world and was also considered to be the strongest. To raise the heir up close and personal was a privilege... though most who knew Reborn first hand knew he only took the assignment because he was interested and because he considered the Nono a friend.

All the data gathered was fact.

This, Verde knew.

He also knew that Reborn always calculated plans ahead of time and even if a hitch appeared, Reborn was always calm, managing to somehow add that problem into the original plans to reach the final conclusion he had been aiming for.

But this time, the situation with the Decimo... there was one aspect that Verde just couldn’t understand.

“Miura Haru,” Verde said the name slowly, watching carefully to see if there were any changes in Reborn’s features. Much to Verde’s annoyance, there was none. “What is this girl to you?”

Reborn, with the neutral expression he often held in his baby form, spoke bluntly. “You’re stupid as always.”

Verde twitched. He really didn’t like Reborn, but what he hated more was not knowing something. He was a genius and was too accustomed to being aware of everything. However, for once, he was stumped.

Just what role did this Miura Haru play in Reborn’s tutelage of the boy, Sawada Tsunayoshi?

The others, Verde could understand. The majority of them were being groomed to be the guardians of the Vongola. Kyoko Sasagawa was the love interest. I-pin was an assassin with the potential to be someone formidable, which is something very handy for a mafia boss to have.

But with did Haru have to offer?

She wasn’t some child of a wealthy family. She didn’t have unusual gifts that could be used by the Vongola. Granted, she was a smart albeit naïve child, but there were plenty of smart people to choose from in the world. Was it because she was loyal to the bone? Regardless of that, she didn’t have the emotional strength or the courage to survive in their dangerous world.

Loyalty was admirable, but a rather useless and heavy baggage when the person holding such loyalty isn’t able to provide proper aid.

So why did Reborn add Haru into the Decimo’s family?

It was driving Verde mad, the fact that he didn’t know why!

“Let me guess, is it to make sure that the Vongola child retains his humanity?” Verde hypothesized. “After all, being entrenched in such a blood-thirsty world can twist a person’s viewpoint. And that’s especially dangerous if the person is in possession of a great deal of power and authority.”

“Kyoko-chan is doing a fine job of making sure that dame Tsuna doesn’t forget himself.” Reborn replied and would have rolled his eyes if it wasn’t beneath him. He thought Verde had something important to say when he had called him out, but to think it was simply just inane curiosity.

“Then why?” Verde demanded. “Nothing makes sense! She doesn’t have any value that can be added to the equation!”

“If this is all you’re here for, I’m leaving.” Reborn said, hopping off the chair, his offered tea left untouched.

Verde growled and followed Reborn. He was not going to let up on his subject. His pride as a scientist and famed ability to figure out any plot or machinery would not let him. However, the same pride would also not let him resort to begging for the answer. “Then what? Is she supposed to be some mistress for the Decimo when hard times come about?”

The words came out in sarcasm, but caused Reborn to stop in midstep. Verde froze at the feel of bloodlust that began to fill the air. He was no fighter, but having surrounded himself with many experienced warriors in the past, Verde knew this feeling all too well. Though feeling his throat choke up, he didn’t falter.

“Hit a nerve, did I?”

Reborn glanced at Verde through the edges of his black fedora hat. “Don’t say that again about Haru.”

“Why? It’s the only conclusion someone can come up.” Verde continued. Good, maybe if he continued to goad Reborn, he’ll let something slip. Fat chance of that actually happening, but the percentage of that happening was a lot higher than if Verde just continued to pester him with questions. “Or maybe she’s just some sort of passing amusement? After all, with that naivety and loyalty, it’ll be so easy to toy with h-.”

The cold metal end of Reborn’s pistol tapped the side of Verde’s face and his rant swiftly came to an end.

...okay, so maybe this was the downside if he pissed Reborn off too much.

He had been crazed by his need to know that he had temporarily forsaken how dangerous Reborn truly was.

However, Verde wasn’t worried. In fact, he merely gave Reborn one of his popular confident, basically arrogant, smirks.

“You run your mouth way too much,” Reborn said in a cold, calm tone.

“I’ve already been told that it’ll be the death of me,” Verde said chillingly, “but we both know that today won’t be the day.”

“No, it won’t,” Reborn admitted before shoving the gun harder into Verde’s face. “Don’t push me.”

“Quite a reaction you have there, Reborn,” Verde continued snidely, a calculative twinkle in his eyes. Now, this was an interesting situation. “Does the sound of me insulting that child really aggravating you? This isn’t like you, after all.”

And no, it really wasn’t.

Reborn was known for being cool in every given situation. Even if the incident was dangerous with no way out, he would always be calm, holding such an air of authority that one couldn’t help but obey. Not to mention, he always found a way out.

That unpredictability was another thing about Reborn that annoyed Verde.

But to get such an emotional reaction out of him? Now this, Verde enjoyed.

“Now you’ve made me even more interested in the girl,” Verde crowed, wondering how else Reborn was going to act. He sneered in triumph when Reborn pulled his gun away, his fedora hat shadowing his eyes. “Maybe I’ll bring that girl under my tutelage. She’s smart enough to at least be above those peons. Who knows... maybe I’ll even be able to gain her loyalty and turn her against you.”

“It’s as you said,” Reborn murmured, walking away. “Haru has loyalty that can be compared to no other.”

“The future is far away, Reborn,” Verde called out. “Anything can happen.”

The green haired child was too caught up in his momentary victory that he didn’t notice the smirk Reborn wore.

A few days passed with the incident between Reborn and Verde unnoticed by anyone before a loud cry erupted from the Sawada household.

“Eh?” Tsuna yelled out in surprise, almost falling backwards at the enormity of the situation. “Verde-san said what?”

Haru flushed lightly. “He asked if Haru wanted to become his student.”

“Che, what could an arcobaleno want with a useless woman like you?” Gokudera grunted, a look of annoyance on his face. He flinched, however, when Haru slammed her hands on the small table, the force of her hit causing the tea cups to rattle.

“Haru will have you know that Verde-san made the offer because he believes that Haru is very smart!” she yelled and then crossed her arms, looking away in a huff. “He believes that Haru can do a lot, like create inventions alongside him and also create programs to help with the Vongola security system.”

“B-But this is Verde-san we’re talking about,” Tsuna protested. “I know he’s not completely evil or anything, but who knows what sort of underhanded plot he has!”

Haru smiled at him. “It’s okay, Tsuna-san, Haru will be alright! Verde-san said that he’s considering to stay longer in Japan, meaning Haru won’t be too far away from everyone. If anyone worries, they can check on Haru any time that they want.”

The concern still didn’t leave Tsuna’s face. “But still, I-.”

“Let her do it, dame Tsuna. It’s what she wants to do.” Reborn said, landing right on Tsuna’s head from behind, causing him to fall face forward into the table. “And I’m sure Haru will learn a lot from this experience.”

“Reborn-chan understands me, doesn’t he?” Haru said ecstatically, giving the small child a brilliant smile. “Just watch, Haru will learn everything she can from Verde-san and after that, she’ll be able to help you next time something dangerous happens.”

Reborn returned the smile and watched as Tsuna still continued his protests, albeit half-hearted now since Reborn gave his approval. Gokudera, on the other hand, was still grumbling in the corner, wondering why someone with a revered status wanted anything to do with someone who had no contact to the mafia. The small glances he gave Haru was the only giveaway that told of how he too was concerned by this random turn of events.

Though many didn’t notice due to the happy smile Haru would often give others, Reborn was aware of how it actually hurt Haru that she couldn’t help others when they were of need. She couldn’t compare herself to Kyoko either since the affection and comfort Kyoko gave Tsuna was something Tsuna chose to accept... Kyoko was the one Tsuna chose, so no words Haru gave would have an effect on him.

Under Verde’s tutelage, Haru would grow.

She would grow in the manner Reborn knew she would once given the push in the right direction.

And he would watch as she did, subtly guiding her and observing as she bloomed in a strong, mature, and independent woman.

For there was nothing Reborn didn’t invest in if it didn’t catch his interest.

::owari::

AN: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure a lot of you are wondering what the hell is this drabble. It was a sad attempt to write a R86. Since this one made me irritated, I wrote another one to make up for it. -__-  This one felt too teacher/student for me.

Basically, Reborn sees potential in Haru, something people don't. Hence the reason why he allows her to get involved with the mafia.

I think Verde’s dislike of Reborn can make Verde act irrational. Not to mention, being a genius who is rarely wrong, I’d think that Verde hasn’t really had much contact with something he doesn’t know... so it’s making him act out of his normal character. xD And it also allowed Reborn to take advantage of him.
