Notes

My first post on tumblr! It's the drafted sequel to 'Bargain' for Giotto x Haru that I didn't like how it turned out. I know a few were curious and now I finally have a platform to post my incompleted or 'drafted/discarded' work! :) Hopefully I'll have time to post other incompleted work or any work that I have written, but didn't have any plans on actually posting on my blog.

As for my current WIP, I'm currently working on Ambigram!

Chapter Ten: Rose-Tinted Glasses

HappyFace1886

Dawn made its way through the skies, bringing forth light into the darkened room that held the two-toned eyes glowing with power. It was much too early for the sun to be out, but enough time had passed that the sky was turning into a calm light blue.

Tsuna leaned against the wall, the upper portion of his body bare as one knee was propped up before him, his arm resting on top of it. Somewhere on the floor was his white button-down shirt, having been discarded aside in the middle of the night.

“W-Wait,” Haru gasped, her fingers threading through his hair when his mouth attacked her neck. Half of her wanted to push him away, but the other half –the more dominant half- clutched onto the soft locks of his hair, holding onto him as he made those delicious irresistible sensations run down her spine.

Any attempts of protest came out in a small needy whimper, unfamiliar hot sensations causing her limbs to become weakened. One would think after all the teasing he did, she would be a little more immune to this, but there was something amiss tonight. It was as though the stupid pervert had been hiding this other side of him, a raw untamed side that had been unleashed the moment he realized that another was encroaching his territory.

Her skin was so soft and pliable that he eagerly latched onto it, tasting the sweetness of her neck while he relished how her hands clutched onto him so desperately. His eyes darkened, however, when he remembered the reason why he was in this position, of how someone had dared to attempt to lay claim on what was his. He whispered fiercely into her ear, the angry possessiveness rolling out from the tip of his tongue. “My name. Say it.”

“N-No,” she managed defiantly, unwillingly to give him the satisfaction of such a reward after he had deceived her. Still, she shuddered a bit, inhaling shakily while her traitorous hands held onto him as though he was her only anchor to this world. “I still want a-answers.”

“Say my name,” Tsuna murmured softly this time, skimming his lips over the shell of her ear. He wanted to hear her finally say his name, to get a glimpse of the reality of his haunting fantasies of her screaming his name as she writhed beneath him in ecstasy. He still remembered how she had said his name that one that, but it wasn’t enough. He wanted, no needed, to hear her say it again. “Say my name and I might tell you what you want to know.”

“P-Promise?” Haru hated how weak her voice was, but it was impossible to focus with him breathing so heavily into her ear, tickling her senses while he held her so intimately against him. The soft curves of her body was pressed hard against his solid muscles, not that he needed to have much of a tight hold on her since he was practically on top of her. Nope, gravity did most of the work for him.

He smiled, nuzzling into her hair. So innocent, so sweet. Even though he had lied to her, she was still willing to trust his words? “I promise.”

Haru hesitated, wondering how the dynamics of their dysfunctional... relationship would change if she was to actually give him what he wanted. What was it that he really wanted anyways? His name could only be the beginning of more... what the ‘more’ was she didn’t have a clue.

A-And it was distracting how he was lazily running his lips on her skin as though he had every right to be there! The mark the red head had left was probably gone, darkened with an even more intense shade of red due to how vigorously Tsuna had sucked and nipped at that particular area.

“Haru,” he said lightly in a mocking tone, as though he was admonishing her for her hesitance.

Her face flushed and she would have looked away if it was for how he was now kissing her cheek, his hand stroking the other side of her face. “I...”

Tsuna kissed the corner of her mouth, his body almost humming with impatience. “Don’t keep me waiting.”

“W-What if it’s because I-I don’t remember your name?” she asked tartly, wondering if he’d be thrown off by this revelation. Maybe he’d get off of her and be in aghast that he was so forgettable? Serves him right for... for... for keeping secrets from her like this! Still... it was surprising how the thought of him being unhappy with her made her chest tighten a little.

Unfortunately -or was it fortunately?- he seemed unperturbed by this, a lower chuckle rumbling through his chest as he simply whispered into her ear. “Then I guess I can have as much fun as I want with you without having to tell you a single thing.”

Her eyes nearly bugged out. “W-What?”

“Shall we continue our little game, Ha-ru?” he inquired mockingly.

Tsuna watched as Haru slumbered underneath the covers. Unlike her, he hadn’t fallen asleep at all, his gaze having been stuck on her throughout the night. What would it be like to actually see her every morning like this? To wake up with her in his arms, the adorable angry pout on her face as she glowered at him, her face flustered due to his relentless teasing.

The passing thought startled him.

What the hell was he thinking?

She started off as a passing amusement, something to distract himself from the horrors of his world... but what was going on? What was happening now?

Just how much control did this woman have over him?

With all the woman in his past, Tsuna had done as he pleased. Of course he made sure each of them had the utmost pleasure of being his acquaintance, but the tempo in which he moved never mattered much to him. If he wanted to be fast and rough, he would simply do so, leaving a trail of women behind crying in want and need. If he wanted to be slow and gentle, he could tease them until they were practically begging for more for him.

And yet this one woman...

This one obsession...

“W-Wait,” Haru squeaked breathlessly and his fingers automatically stopped in the midst of unbuttoning her shirt. “Not again, w-we’re not going that far again!”

He frowned. “You would let another man touch you like this, but you won’t let me?”

She glowered at him. “For your information, neither you nor that other... man... had permission! And he didn’t go this far! My clothes were still on!”

“And how would I know if you weren’t lying to me?” Tsuna inquired smoothly. “You refused to tell me what happened in the first place-.”

“Haru is not getting naked just because you’re too paranoid to trust her! And for your information, you’ve done way more than that other man could possibly even dream of doing!”

Argument after argument, maybe a kiss or two stolen...

Any other women it would have caused him more of a headache, but with Haru, he felt nothing more than amusement.

Strange...

It was true that the fire she emitted attracted him to her. And it didn’t hurt the fact that the kisses he stole tasted so sweet, the way she’d unconsciously moan for more was also a delicious factor he loved.

But now the way she’d pout... the way she’d glare at him in embarrassment... those small tiny things were starting to become endearing and –dare he say it?- cute.

They hadn’t known each other for that long... but already, life felt as though it would become so dull if he wasn’t able to tease her every day, to be able to pin her against the wall and kiss her breathlessly. It was obvious he was attracted to her physically, but beyond that? To be interested at arguing with her, talking with her...

Tsuna gritted his teeth.

It was all in his head.

Haru represented an escape from his world. He was falling for the small whimsical part of him that still existed, the part that sometimes dreamed of what it would be like if he had grown as a normal child.

That was it.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

She was just a diversion to him, a distraction of his choosing. Him indulging in her whims and demands is also part of him using her. That was it. He was in control.

He was always in control.

Tsuna shook his head, hoping to dispel the doubt that lingered in his shoulders. He crawled off the bed and headed towards the closest where he knew there would be a fresh set of clothes for him. The closet door was opened when he paused, turning his gaze towards where Haru was still asleep.

...she needed clothes too.

The better solution was to leave her be, to show himself just how much power he had over himself by the mere fact that he didn’t care if she was uncomfortable wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

A loud melody suddenly broke through the tense atmosphere and Tsuna cursed, his quick reflex allowing him to shut the damn thing up by turning it on quickly. He stood rigidly as Haru groaned a little, nuzzling into the pillow before falling back asleep. Hissing air out between his thinned lips, he gave a sharp quiet ‘what?’

“Decimo?”

Tsuna ran a hand through his hair. “What’s the matter Gokudera-kun?”

“I apologize for waking you up at this odd hour.”

“It doesn’t matter. I was already awake. Besides, internal matters are more important.” Tsuna said briskly, irritated by how rattled he had become.

“Right,” Gokudera replied quickly. “I’m calling because the other Guardians are finally here. Mukuro should be arriving at the base in an hour. He’ll be the last one to arrive. Shall I gather everyone in the meeting room?”

“Do it,” Tsuna ordered quietly, his eyes narrowing. So it was officially starting, the bloody war against the Shimon. He balanced the phone on his shoulder, pulling out the necessary articles of clothing to wear. “Make sure there aren’t any guards lingering around either. I don’t want unnecessary eavesdropping. It will be just me and the Guardians.”

“Understood.” It would be easy to order the guards away without raising suspicion from the elders of the Vongola. After all, the Guardians were strong enough to not require backup. Not to mention, with how eccentric the members were, it was understandable how they wouldn’t want unnecessary guards trying to feebly protect them. This was especially in regards to Hibari who would most likely be more uncooperative and restless at being crowded by other people. It didn’t help that his hated enemy –aka Mukuro- was also here.

Tsuna then paused in the midst of buttoning his shirt, his eyes trailing towards where Haru was.

He didn’t want to leave her alone, especially after she was attacked last night. And he was only thinking this because she was something he was using to distract himself! If he was to lose her, who knows how long it’d take for him to find another like her? That was the reason why! And since she was his little toy, there was nothing wrong with also getting her some nice clothes he knew would look very pleasing to him... right?

Right.

“Gokudera-kun, I need you to do me a favor.”

Genesis - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Chapter 25

Summary: There was a reason why Reborn got Haru involved with the Mafia. Even if she was useless to them in fights and even if she couldn't provide as much emotional strength as Kyoko, she was vital and without her, there would just be no Vongola. G86/GiottoHaru

Genesis: Chapter 25

HappyFace1886

There had been no reply from Attilio after Haru’s bold declaration and judging by how he hadn’t barked at her to get up so that they could head to the village together, perhaps today would be a day of absence for her there. Maybe it would draw suspicion from the elders of the village that she wasn’t present, but Haru was too tired to care. Giotto’s hold was warm and inviting that she allowed herself to be cuddled, to forget the problems that currently plagued her.

“You’re awake, aren’t you, Giotto-sama?” she whispered tiredly.

A hand began to run through her hair gently. “For a while. How did you know?”

“I may not have known for you long, but I know you never sleep deeply.” Haru whispered. In the mornings she'd wake up to see him sleeping like the dead as he clung to her like a life-line, but in the middle of the night, he'd never be at peace. And then there were those naps they took in the forest. Each time he’d immediately wake up from the slightest sounds. Now she couldn’t help but wonder if it was because he had to be cautious of the dangerous animals while he lived in the words. ...or maybe the villages tried to do something while he had his guard down at night.

The thought made her sick and she wrapped her arms around him tighter.

“I’m sorry.”

“Hahi, why are you sorry?”

She felt him press his face against her hair. “For causing you so much trouble.”

“Giotto-sama is never any trouble,” Haru said in protest, pulling away so that she could see his face. Further words from her were silenced when he raised his hand and cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing against the tear stains on her face. He gave her a sad smile.

“I made you cry.”

His words were enough to actually make her start crying again. She clutched the hand on her face and shook her head wildly. “No, it’s not you. I-It’s-.” her breath hitched up and she knew she was going to cry again. No, she had to be stronger than this! She had to stop being so emotional!

And yet it was impossible, especially when he was so gentle with her like this, him pulling her down until he had her firmly on top of his chest, the way he would soothingly run his fingers up and down her back, his strong warm arms protecting her from the evils that made her cry. It frustrated her how pathetic she was, having to be comforted by the person who actually endured the hardship that was making her tear up in the first place.

“Thank you for crying for me,” he spoke sincerely. “But there’s no need for you to cry now. It is in the past.”

“And it’s still in the present,” she spoke without thinking and with such ferocity that it stunned herself. Apparently she was angrier about this situation than she thought. Haru felt Giotto tense up beneath her and she clutched onto his shirt tightly, swallowing hard as she tried to convey the words she knew was buried inside her mind. “As long as you remain here, it will never end.”

“Haru-.” He felt a brief moment of panic. What was she saying?

“I’m serious Giotto-sama,” she would have pulled away again if it wasn’t for how tightly, how desperately, he was clutching onto her. “The people at the village will continue trying to hurt you! You have to get away from here. There’s so much out there in the world, so many things to see, so many experiences to make. I don’t want you here surrounded by people who hate and mistreat you like this!”

“So you want me to leave?” he spoke hollowly and Haru, too caught up in her emotions, didn’t notice and nodded vigorously.

“Yes, to somewhere far away from here, away from these people, away-.”

“-from you?”

Haru froze, her mouth agape. What did he just say? Unfortunately, her silence did nothing to appease the growing apprehension in Giotto’s mind.

She wanted him to leave, to be far away from this village. To be away from her. Sure, it was because she wanted him to be away from the villagers, but she was also implying that she would no longer be with him from then on. He understood it was for his own benefit, but did Haru not understand just what it would do to him to be away from her? Did she not realize just how much more pain he would be if he was away from her?

“Giotto-sama-.”

“I won’t leave.” He spoke firmly, his arms tightening around her.

“Gio-.”

“I don’t mind the villagers,” he added quickly. “They don’t bother me as long as I don’t approach them. I-.”

“They’re planning to use me to get to you!” Haru yelled when she realized he wasn’t going to listen to her calmly. “And I refuse to let that happen! I don’t know what their plan is, but I don’t want to be part of anything that will hurt you.”

“And I don’t care what they do to me as long as you’re with me!” he yelled back, raising his voice for the first time since she had met him.

The shock was apparent due to the long pause in silence, leaving him to wonder what was going through Haru’s mind when she spoke tentatively. “...Giotto-sama?”

It was too late to take back his words, but it didn’t matter much. That had always been the truth for him and he had never hidden his affection towards her. He had never been one to beg, but he didn’t mind pleading with her to stay, to always give those sweet gentle smiles he had not seen in years. She was the first to have showered him with uninhibited trust even though they had only just first met, the first to speak her own mind so boldly around him, and... the first to defend him to earnestly even though they were not of kin. Even now she still worried about him when it was her who could possibly be in danger due to the elder’s plans.

Their time together may not have lasted for years, but she had gifted him with so much already and he didn’t want to let it all go, even if it meant getting out of this restricted world of his.

“Please Haru...”

“I’m not going anywhere,” she spoke quietly, but it was enough to pierce through him. “I promised to stay with you, Giotto-sama. As long as you want me here, I’ll do my best to stay. And this means out of this village as well.”

The hope that gathered in his chest was suspended as he tried not to raise his expectations too much. “You’ll leave... the village... with me?”

“Of course!”

Was this a dream?

Was that passing whimsical thought he had only hours before actually coming true?

Could he truly leave this dreaded place and with Haru as well?

“It will be hard out there.”

“I’ve always been a hard worker.”

“There’s a chance we may meet dangerous people.”

“The people here are equally dangerous,” Haru scoffed.

“We may not-.”

“I’m coming with you Giotto-sama,” she said firmly. “And nothing you say will convince me otherwise.”

“...but why? What reason would you have in wanting to come with me?” there was nothing she could possibly gain by being with him. While it did overjoy him that she wanted to go with him, but he feared for her reasons... what if he was actually taking advantage of her kind nature? What if he was actually subconsciously manipulating her into coming with him with how desperate he was sounding?

That would be worse than separating from her.

“Because I’m...” could she say friend? She did regard him as a close friend by now, but... but... after that kiss... what could she say? What were they now? Just how much of the past had she distorted? And what did she feel for him anyways? Oh gods, it was a good thing Giotto couldn’t see her face right now. “...I care for you Giotto-sama... and you are much more important to me than this village.”

“...you care for me...”

Haru nodded against his chest. “Yes, I do.”

“And you want to come with me because you want to.” he spoke slowly, trying to digest the words into his mind. It was like an unending mantra, his doubt and hesitation slowly clearing away as he clung desperately to hope.

“Yes...”

The relief came tumbling out and he wasn’t able to control himself, his embrace tightening even further as his heart sped up in his excitement. Haru was coming with him, out of this village, because she wanted to! She really didn’t want to part with him. She really wanted to stay!

He smiled and clung onto her, speaking the words he believed he would never be able to say. “When are we leaving?”

Chapter Eighteen: Girl Talk

HappyFace1886

Haru gasped in surprise at the feel of soft lips against her own and Yamamoto eagerly took advantage of that, his tongue slipping into her mouth. His hand was pressed against her lower back, pulling her close so that she was pressed intimately against him. Her hands clutched onto his shirt, her fingers tightening over his jacket as it felt as though her mouth was being devoured by a starved man who had depraved himself for too long.

Yamamoto’s other hand held the back of her neck, her head tilting back a bit more as his tongue speared itself deeper into her mouth. Gods, he had waited for so long for this moment, to be able to taste her lovely mouth and to hold her so close like this.

He tangled their tongues together, coaxing her to join his, but the feel of that alone was too much for Haru. Her legs shook and she leaned more into his hold, trembling at the sharp sensations he was evoking. And so, he went a gentler route, rubbing her lower back soothingly while he indulged himself with the sweetness of her taste.

She whimpered, gasping as he finally drew his lips away for air. But even then he didn’t want to stop. He splayed kisses all over her face, having wanted to do so for so long. And now he would no longer hold himself back. Not when he was so close to losing her to others.

“Y-Yamamoto-san?” she breathed out, her brown eyes glazed and confused.

“I don’t expect an answer now,” he murmured and leaned forward to place a gentle chaste kissed on her puffy red lips that screamed of how they had been thoroughly ravished just moments ago. “But I’m not going to back down so easily.”

Haru entered into her room in a daze, her eyes round and blank as she walked into the room completely unfocused. Her bag slipped onto the ground with a soft thud and she stepped forward listlessly until her shins hit the bed and she fell forward, her head hitting the soft pillow.

Silence.

Followed a loud shrill scream.

If it wasn’t for the fact that her father was in a late-night meeting with his fellow professors, he would have surely come rushing into her room to see what was wrong. Of course if he did, he would be completely lost as Haru would be discovered rolling on the floor, clutching onto her head.

She ended up rolling too far near the end and went over her bag. Continuing the roll, she hit her desk hard and remained there for a milli-second before she launched herself to her bag. Haru rummaged through it and let out a sharp cry of triumph when she found her cell phone. She was in near tears due to panic, her fingers clumsily dialing the phone.

“Please, please, please Bianchi-san, pick up the phone.” Haru pleaded tearfully.

The dial clicked as the phone was answered.

“Hello?

Haru promptly shut her phone off with a muffled squeak. Of course Tsuna-san would have to be the one to pick up the phone when she was panicking. Right now she couldn’t even casually ask him to give the phone to Bianchi-san. He was part of the problem!

First Tsuna-san. And then Gokudera-san. And now even Yamamoto-san?

What was wrong with the world today? Only a few weeks ago, she had been the most inconspicuous girl in the universe! Other than the fact that she was often found alongside a certain blood-thirsty prefect who was being hunted down by a crazy mad-man...

But disregarding Kyoya, her life had gone from completely normal to defying the laws of probability ever since she had agreed to help him understand the power of love. What kind of world was she living in right now? A shojo-magazine?

The power of love... right, the power of destroying one’s life and driving it into utter-chaos was more like it!

“Hahi,” she bemoaned her fate and reached up her bed in order to grab her teddy bear. Once she found it, she promptly pulled it towards her, clutching it tightly. She then remained still with her eyes closed. “Love is so complicated... I-I mean, I’m not in love or anything, right? Haru’s feelings towards Kyoya are just... just very confusing. I thought that once I finally ended my unrequited feelings towards Tsuna-san, I could figure out what it exactly it was that I felt for Kyoya, but in the end, things just got messier.”

She sighed, shaking her head frantically. No, this wasn’t the time for self-pity. It was her fault anyways, being so oblivious to her own feelings. Not to mention, she had charged onto this assignment of teaching Kyoya about love just because she had been stubborn and hot-headed when he had so bluntly scorned the power of love in front of her.

Love was a confusing emotion after all, capable of great and terrible feats.

Haru groaned loudly. Why couldn’t Bianchi-san be the one who had picked up the phone? She had made a mess of things by trying to go on that ‘date’ with Tsuna-san to end things –another rash decision she had made even though Bianchi-san had protested it- and now she was stuck in another rut.

She needed a love guru for goodness sake!

Unfortunately, Bianchi-san was clearly out right now. She couldn’t call the Sawada household again after hanging up so abruptly like that. Tsuna-san and Gokudera-san were also both most likely on the edge after the incident at the park. No need fray their nerves even more than they already were.

...so who could she talk to?

Haru bit her lip.

She really didn’t want to do this.

But she really needed the help.

She lifted her phone up and scrolled through the list of contacts. It had been a while since they had talked, mostly her fault since she had been the one avoiding the other... but honestly speaking, Haru missed her and would really appreciate the help right now.

And so she pressed the call button and waited to hear the familiar sound of the phone being picked up. “Hello? Kyoko-chan?”

“It’s certainly been a while, Haru-chan.” Kyoko said gently with a smile, taking a sip of her tea while Haru fidgeted from across from her. “How have you been?”

Haru stiffened. “Um... Haru has been doing fine. The usual problem, school and... stuff.”

Kyoko nodded. “True. We have to get ready for the high-school entrance exams, after all. Are you still aiming for Midori High School?”

“Yeah,” she nodded glumly. Oh goodness, she had forgotten about that. All the studying she had missed because of personal issues... urgh. “Haru really wants to go to school with Kyoko-chan, but Haru’s Otousan said that he’ll let Haru do whatever she wants as long as she attends the schools of his choosing. Of course he would choose Midori High.”

“It is a hard school to get into,” Kyoko agreed. “But Haru’s attending Midori Junior High, right now. I’m sure you’ll get into Midori High as well.”

“Thanks,” Haru mumbled.

“Now then,” Kyoko lowered her cup onto the saucer, “what’s this big problem that you want to discuss with me?”

“Hahi?” Haru said weakly.

Kyoko gave her a patient look, one that bordered being motherly. It was a look Haru had seen often when things got a little crazy with Tsuna-san and the other and a look Haru often saw when she would occasionally unburden her worries to the brown haired girl. It was another thing that made her admire Kyoko, the way she was able to maintain her calm amongst others in the midst of the chaos. “Haru-chan, I know we haven’t known each other for that long, but I think I understand you well enough to see that something is bothering you. I don’t know what it is that I can do, but if I can, I want to help.”

“I-I know,” Haru poked at the uneaten cake in front of her. For once, she wasn’t feeling any cravings for sweet, which was feat by itself. Sweets were something she’d practically inhale when it came to complicated moments in her life. “Ano... has Kyoko-chan ever had moments as though the world is playing a cruel joke on you?”

“I’m sure everyone has felt that once in a while.”

Haru nodded, her fidgeting growing worse. She then inhaled deeply before speaking shakily. “W-Well... it’s because... well... what do you do when there are several people who might have feelings for you but you have no idea how you feel and you’re afraid that you’re just playing with everyone’s emotions and might destroy several precious friendships and end the world as we know it?”

By the time Haru was done, her chest was heaving and her hands were tightly clutching onto the white tablecloth of the café table. Kyoko was staring at her wide-eyed and there were even several patrons glancing their way curiously.

“Ha... Hahahaaha,” Haru said loudly, laughing nervously with one hand at the back of her head, “H-Haru saw t-that in a tv drama and was wondering what others would say about the plot. S-So what do you think Kyoko-chan?”

Kyoko was silent for a long time, unsettling the already nerve-wrecked Haru who was bordering neurotic with how she kept fidgeting. “So the guys all like this one girl, but the girl isn’t sure who she likes? Are you sure that’s how the guys truly feel? Did they all confess to her?”

“Erm... one of them did... and another one kind of did... as for the other two, she’s not sure, but the one who did confess said that all three of them were kind of... getting in his way now s-so maybe they all like her?” Haru’s eyes shifted away. Gokudera-san had been acting weird along with Tsuna-san. Kyoya had kissed her so that must meant something... though with the socially challenged boy, who knows what he meant with the whole kissing and hovering over her protectively. Yamamoto-san was the only one she was sure of where he stood.

“How did the one who ‘kind of did’ confess?”

“H-He kissed her and... kind of looks after her,” she mumbled, unwilling to add in the chaotic factor of how they had been doing this crazy pretending boyfriend-girlfriend thing so that this boy could understand the power of love... like this was some magical girl anime show. Hahi, what had she been thinking when she agreed to teach him that? She didn’t understand love either! What right did she have to teach a completely naïve person about it?

“But did he say he liked her?” Kyoko coaxed.

Haru shook her head. “Not really, b-but he said she was his. The guy isn’t really good with people. He doesn’t like crowds a-and is sort of violent, always getting into fights. But he’s a good person at heart! He’s just... different.”

“Well then, it’s simple.” Kyoko smiled at Haru. “The two who didn’t confess don’t count because they didn’t take the time to tell their feelings to the girl. The two who did confess though have their feelings out. This means that the girl has to take the confession into consideration and give them an honest answer.”

“But what kind of honest answer can she give when she doesn’t even understand what she’s feeling?” Haru groaned, wanting to bang her head on the table.

“Did they demand an answer right now?”

“No... the one who confessed said that he’ll wait, but the one who kind of confessed is different. He doesn’t understand no and is really pushy. He might get angry if Ha-the heroine might show interest in another person.” Haru said tiredly. Who knows what sort of rampage Kyoya would go into if he knew she was dating other people. He didn’t even know what he was doing –social norm wise. He was just moving in accordance to his instincts!

Kyoko tilted her head. “But that’s not his right to enforce, right?”

“Hahi?”

“Love doesn’t work that way, Haru-chan.” Kyoko said kindly with a gentle smile that always had that soothing effect on people. “It’s a two-way street and has to come from both ways. If this boy really feels for her, then he has to be patient and wait for her answer. And so, since they both asked her, they both have to wait... if what they want is a truly honest answer from the heart, that is. If their feelings are light-hearted, then they’ll forget her and move on with their lives. But if they truly care and want her, they’ll wait for her no matter how long it takes for her to realize what she feels.”

“...it feels unfair to them though.”

“Those are the risks that come with loving someone, neh? The painful waiting game.” Kyoko said with a playful wink.

Haru smiled. Kyoko-chan always had a way of making her feel better. And she was right. She had to think about this calm and carefully. Yamamoto-san and uh... Kyoya somewhat... had honestly expressed themselves to her and she owed it to them to give an honest reply back.

“Thanks Kyoko-chan,” Haru murmured.

“No problem,” Kyoko said with a smile before her eyes widened with interest. “So what kind of TV drama is this? It sounds very interesting.”

AU: ...to be honest, I really don’t think Yamamoto would give a kiss that intense at the beginning. It would be more soft and sweet so he doesn’t scare her off... but I decided to give a little fan-service and let that happen. For those more ‘in-character’ types, relish the imagination of him just giving the chaste kiss at the end minus the ravished part, but those who liked the steamy kiss... um... yay? 8D

Also, this chapter was really hard to churn out. I felt like I was pulling off my nails while writing it and even though it's so short, it took all day. -___- sorry about this. Hopefully the next one will be better.
