Summary: Series of oneshot that show what should
have been shown during the little moments, the dates, and the lessons between
Hibari and Haru in the fanfic, Teach Me Love.
My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things
untrue or some characters OOC and I guess I'll explain some stuff at the end of
the chapter, just so I won't spoil things! XD
I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I
did, there would be a lot more Haru loving!
Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise
and grammatically wise. lol, i still don't understand the beta system thing and
I don't really have time to re-read and edit things.
Scarf
HappyFace1886
Hibari felt an eyelid twitched as he stared at
the hideously neon green thing the foolish girl was holding
out in front of him. Said foolish girl thought it would be better to give him a
sweet smile at that, causing the twitching to grow worse.
“What is... this?” he asked, stating
the last portion of his statement with a great hint of distaste.
As if Haru sensed the hostility, the frown
turned into a scowl. “This is a scarf Haru knitted for you. It’s been getting
cold lately and I didn’t want you getting sick.”
“And why, pray tell, is the scarf... that
color?”
Haru looked at him and then at the scarf. “Eh?
What do you mean? It’s a really pretty color and Haru read in a book that green
is a color that’s very soothing towards the eyes.”
“Perhaps if it wasn’t in such a blinding shade.”
Hibari muttered, still refusing to come even an inch closer to the abomination.
“Put it away.”
“B-But Haru made it just for Kyoya!” she
exclaimed, only for her face to become bright red at the realization she had
just said his name out loud. With a fleeting look of panic, Haru looked around
to make sure Tsuna or the others weren’t around. Seeing as though they were in
the clear, she sighed and then shoved the scarf closer to Hibari’s face. “It’s
the job of the g-g-girlfriend to give presents like this to her b-b-boyfriend.”
Though Hibari had noticed Haru’s strange action,
he said nothing. It was probably another strange quirk of hers. Instead, he quirked
an eyebrow and commented dryly. “More bribes?”
“Hahi! How many times does Haru have to tell
you, these are not bribes!”
“Then what are they?” he said in exasperation.
The foolish girl must have forgotten that she was supposed to teach him things,
not start something and expect him to understand everything.
The flush in Haru’s face returned and she pulled
the scarf closer to her chest, her eyes suddenly swiveling to the side so that
she was no longer looking at him in the eye. He watched with mild interest.
This girl’s abrupt changes in temperament were always interesting since they
made absolutely no sense to him.
“T-That’s because g-girlfriends take care of
their b-boyfriends...” she murmured shyly. “That’s what c-couples do. They take
c-care of each other because they lo-I mean like each other.”
“Like? I believe we were undergoing these
ridiculous lessons because of your wish to prove the power of love.” Hibari
said bluntly, watching in fascination as Haru’s face grew into an even deeper
shade of red. Anymore and she was going to start resembling a tomato.
“Fine!” she yelped out, wanting to hurry and let
it all that so that she was no longer caught in this embarrassing situation.
“Couples take care of each other because they love and care for each other.
It’s getting colder so Haru thought Kyoya should wear a scarf so that he
doesn’t get sick! There, I said it, now please accept this scarf.”
“No.”
His reply was forthright and so irritating that
Haru almost threw the scarf at his face. However, since she was somehow able to
preserve whatever meager portion of her survival instincts that was left, Haru
took a step forward and looked him square in the eye. “This,” she said through
gritted teeth, “is another lesson. You are my b-boyfriend and that means you
must wear this!”
Hibari eyed the scarf she was holding and then
glanced at Haru who was not budging from her stance. “I refuse.”
“You will wear this scarf!” Haru snapped.
He looked at her coolly, his eyes flaring at the
challenge. “No.”
“Hahi!” Haru yelled. “Why must you make things
so difficult for Haru? She’s only trying to help and she’s also stuck in this
situation because of you! So please, please accept the-.”
“Change the color.”
Haru stopped in her rant and looked at him
confused. “Hahi?”
Hibari stared at her, daring her to ask him to
repeat himself.
“B-But this color is so pretty...” she looked at
the neon green color forlornly.
“Change the color... and I’ll wear it.” Hibari
murmured. If this was the only way to get this foolish girl to be quiet, he
would consent.
....for now.
Somehow, his declaration made Haru smile. She
pulled the scarf away from him and behind her, leaning closer to him with eager
eyes. “Neh, neh, what color do you want then?”
“Is that... Hibari-san?” Tsuna squeaked with
wide eyes, watching from the window at the Prefect patrolling the school
ground.
Gokudera peered over the glass and scowled. “The
hell? Wasn’t he the one who’s always going on about how we have to follow the
dress code?”
“Scarves aren’t exactly a violation of the
rules.” Yamamoto said with a chuckle.
“Yeah, but I don’t remember purple being a part
of this school’s color.”
