I'll Be Waiting - Katekyo Hitman Reborn - TYL1886

Here is my first Katekyo Hitman Reborn fanfic on this blog! I hope you enjoy it!


My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things untrue or some characters OOC and I guess I'll explain some stuff at the end of the chapter, just so I won't spoil things! XD


I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I did, there would be a lot more Haru loving. This is all fanmade and all in good fun. This is not an attempt to make Katekyo Hitman Reborn mine or anything. So please people, especially those corporate people that are closing amvs, let us fans be to enjoy our fan-made stuff or else we'll crumble into mush due to how the pairings we dislike or the plot we dislike can't be changed.


Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise and grammatically for I don't have the time to re-read and edit things.

His eyes glimmered with amusement as he watched the fear creep into her eyes. Frightened she may be, she wasn't budging from her position and was doing her best to stand up straight, trying to hold an air of confidence and strength.


"Are you afraid of me?" he asked in a smooth drawl.


"H-Haru isn't afraid!" she managed to yell, but her body was already trembling.


He chuckled and leaned forward, making her gasp sharply as his face was nearly brushing against hers. She released a squeak when she felt something touch her thigh and dared to take a glance down.


It... It was the blood-stained tonfa he had used to beat those thugs up!


Fear crawled up Haru's throat and began to choke her.


Was she going to die here?


B-But she hadn't even told Tsuna-san how she really felt! She hadn't even gotten to force Gokudera to finally quit those evil-cancer sticks! And... And.. the greatest tragedy was that she hadn't ever allowed herself to eat as much pastries as she wanted! And there was the chocolate eclair she had seen last week that had looked so delicious! And the red velvet cake that had been so beautifully displayed not so long ago!


Tears started to well up in her eyes.


"Why do you cry?" the man whispered and she shivered, feeling his breath caressing her cheek while his mouth made its way to her ear. He did nothing but press his cheek against her own and due to his tall stature compared to her small one, he had to bend quite a bit to be able to do so.


"H-Haru is not crying!" she yelled. The last thing she wanted to tell her potential killer was that she was crying because she wanted to eat cake.


He chuckled, a deep baritone laughter that made her insides quiver. "You were never a good liar."


"Hahi?" she blinked in surprise. What did he mean by that?


His lips skimmed her cheek as he moved before he kissed her on the eye, tasting the saltiness of her tears. He ran his hand through her hair, undoing the tie that held it up, and tangled his fingers within the soft locks.


Haru couldn't move as the man toyed with her hair. It felt so tender, as though he wanted to savor the feel.


Just as she was about to ask him what he was doing, he whispered words so softly that she had almost missed them. Her eyes widened and she was about to jerk her head upwards to demand answers when she felt his lips place a gentle kiss on her forehead.


"What-?"


POOF!


The tall figure disappeared and was replaced by a boy. Haru yelped as he leaned forward and fell on top of her. Caught completely off guard by this, she went falling backwards and cried out when her head collided with the ground. Her hands had instinctively wrapped themselves around the boy and she found herself hugging the boy close with her fingers clenching onto his clothes.


What just happened?


Dazed and confused, her mind began to continuously replay the words of the mysterious man.


"Ten years from now... I'll be waiting for you at the rooftop of Namimori Junior High."
