Notes

My first post on tumblr! It's the drafted sequel to 'Bargain' for Giotto x Haru that I didn't like how it turned out. I know a few were curious and now I finally have a platform to post my incompleted or 'drafted/discarded' work! :) Hopefully I'll have time to post other incompleted work or any work that I have written, but didn't have any plans on actually posting on my blog.

As for my current WIP, I'm currently working on Ambigram!

Teach Me Love - Chapter 20

Summary: "Show me this so-called greatness of the power of love," Hibari ordered. "Fall in love with me." Haru could only stupidly gawk at him. Just what the heck did she get herself involved in? HaruxMultiple Pairings

My lack of KHR knowledge might make some things untrue or some characters OOC! XD

I don't own Katekyo Hitman Reborn because if I did, there would be a lot more Haru loving!

Please forgive any mistakes, both character-wise and grammatically wise.  I don't really have time to re-read and edit things.

Chapter Twenty: Revenge

HappyFace1886

“Is this Sawada Tsunayoshi?”

Tsuna’s stomach dropped when he heard Haru’s father’s voice on the other end of the phone line. “Y-Yes, it is! H-Hello Miura-san.”

“Where is my daughter, Sawada?!”

“Eh?” he yelped out in surprise, his eyes bulging out in surprise.

“Don’t play games with me boy! I know you’re friendly with her!” the man yelled, causing Tsuna to pull the phone away from his ears. Keeping it a foot away was enough for him to hear everything clearly. “Give me that Hibari boy’s number! If you don’t know where she is, then he should know!”

“Wait, wait!” Tsuna said in a panic, pulling the phone against his ear before shoving it away quickly when Miura-san’s rant became loud again. “Please Miura-san! What happened with Haru?”

“She never arrived home last night!” the man snapped, the irritation and exhaustion in his voice making it clear that he had been up all night wondering about his daughter. “And she’s not answering her phone either. I demand a clear answer now, boy, or else I’m-!”

“Ah! C-Calm down, Miura-san! I-ow!” Tsuna yelped when he felt something smack into the back of his head. Leaning forward due to the weight, he glanced up and could barely make out Reborn’s outline on top of him. “Reborn?”

The phone, which Tsuna had tossed up after being hit, was neatly caught by Bianchi. She placed it against her ear and casually leaned against the wall. “Miura-san? Hello, I’m Bianchi, a friend of Haru-chan.”

The man on the other line seemed to calm down, recognizing the name. The two began to pleasantly chat and Tsuna watched in amazement at how Bianchi was able to turn the situation around so easily. Either Bianchi was really experienced talking to panicked people or it was because Miura-san didn’t feel threatened that Bianchi would take his daughter away from him.

“Reborn, what’s going on?” Tsuna hissed, crouching down so that he was face-to-face with him. “Why’s Miura-san looking for Haru-chan?”

“Isn’t it obvious, dame-Tsuna?” Reborn said, sounding slightly exasperated by the question. “Haru-chan is gone.”

“What? How?” Tsuna demanded before pausing as he recalled the events of the past few days. He paled drastically. “D-Don’t tell me that it’s the guys from the amusement park?”

The phone was returned to its place and Tsuna turned his head, seeing Bianchi with a grim frown on her face. “I’ve told Miura-san that Haru-chan is with Kyoko-chan and I’ve already told Kyoko-chan to cover for us in case Miura-san really does call her.”

“Wait, someone explain to me what happened!”

“We were going to tell you about it as soon as we gathered more information, but those bastards are bolder than we thought.” Bianchi remarked, crossing her arms. “You were partially right about the people who attacked you, Gokudera-kun, and Haru-chan. They are affiliated with the mafia, but they aren’t part of any formal organization. If anything, you can say that they’re more along the lines of a mercenary group than mafia since they’re willing to work for whoever hires them.”

“Still,” Reborn said, with a slight smile on his face that was hidden under his tipped fedora hat, “they are still mafia. And those of the mafia will likely follow the laws of the mafia.”

“We have to tell Gokudera-kun and Yamamot-kun about this!” Tsuna rushed to the phone in order to tell the others.

“There’s one more thing, Tsuna.” Reborn spoke and Tsuna paused in the midst of his frantic dialing. “It’s about the man who kidnapped Haru-chan because of Hibari.”

“What about him?” Tsuna asked, feeling a strong pit forming in his stomach.

“Hideo is most likely the one behind the kidnapping and according to some informants of mine, he’s escaped from prison.”

There was a pounding in Haru’s head as she felt her consciousness returning. A sense of déjà vu reached and she felt a panic run through her. Oh god, not again. The dread was enough motivation for her to remain on the cold hard floor, her eyes kept tightly clenched as she tried her best to wake up from this nightmare. A good twenty seconds passed before she gave up, her eyes slowly fluttering open before she slowly sat up.

The last thing she remembered was griping about Hibari being a jerk when she smelled something noxious and blacked out. No doubt someone had snuck into her room and knocked her out. And judging by the taste in her mouth, she had been unconscious for several hours.

“Finally awake?” she stiffened at the familiar voice and slowly turned her head, her eyes narrowing at the sight of the man who had haunted her dreams.

“You!”

Hideo laughed. “Me.”

“What do you want with Haru? Haven’t you caused enough damage last time?” she demanded.

“Ah, but I haven’t had my revenge just yet.” Hideo said with a chuckle. “The so called ‘damages’ I’ve done is nothing compare to what I plan to do next.”

Haru felt the shiver go down her spine and she eyed him warily, her hands clenched into fists in case he tried anything. “What are you planning?”

Hideo was quiet before he let loose a low chuckle, one that erupted into a booming laughter that struck Haru with fear. “Man oh man, I really have to thank you here, girl. I never would have imagined that my plan would have gone as deliciously well as it has so far. And it’s all thanks to you.”

“What are you talking about?” she demanded.

“My vendetta is against the Prefect,” Hideo spat out venomously. “I want to hurt him, grind him into tiny little pieces for being the cocky piece of shit that he is. A child like him running around with his little toys, messing and destroying with something he doesn’t need to stick his fucking nose in, all because he wants to ‘bite things dead’. I will destroy him, I will break him!”

The tone of his voice held an obsessive quality and Haru was grateful as to how he remained seated against the wall, remaining far away from her. She wasn’t sure how she’d react if he was closer to her while performing such a rant.

So her initial assumption had been right.

This was a mad man in front of her.

“For years I wondered how I’d end him. A child of that ferocity and bloodthirst wouldn’t be so easy to hurt. Destroying that fucking junior high wouldn’t be enough.” Hideo continued, biting his thumb as he spoke while a foot tapped insistently against the ground. “A building can be rebuilt. No, that wasn’t good enough. I needed to hurt that brat where it hurts, but he had no weaknesses, no one he cared enough to actually affected him if something were to happen to them... until you came strolling along.”

Haru flinched when he turned his attention back to her. “What are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about you being that Prefect’s little lover bitch.” The man sneered and Haru’s face flushed at his vulgar words. “I really must thank you. That look on his face was so delicious when he realized that the school was burning all thanks to you.”

“That was not Haru’s fault,” she snapped. “It was all because of-.”

“But if you hadn’t been such a wonderful distraction, the school would have never been attacked like that.” Hideo disproved easily. “All of the fucking Prefect’s attention would have been on the school, as always. But no, he’s been constantly distracted. He still continued his fucking patrols and beating the shit of others, but even in the midst of all that, he would still be watching you. How else did he find you when you were getting that fucking balloon for that kid?”

Haru’s jaw dropped slightly. “Y-You saw that?”

“Then there were your little dates.” Hideo snickered when he saw Haru’s face flush. “Could the poor Prefect get any more pathetic? He’s lost so much of himself after getting himself involved with you.”

“Hahi? That’s not true!”

“Oh, isn’t it?” Hideo continued, enjoying the conflict in her eyes. “He changed his patrol routes because of that time you got sick and even willingly held your hand after one of your pitiable dates. He slowly started to become fond of you and before he could even realize it, he’s fallen in love with you.”

Haru almost choked on her non-existent spit, her eyes bugged out as she stared at Hideo in wonderment. What did he just say right now?

“What makes this even better is that the stupid Prefect doesn’t even seem to realize his true feelings for you,” Hideo spat. “But that’s just perfect for me. This just gives me the opportunity to take advantage of that and finally get my revenge. I’ll lend him a hand. I’ll help him open his eyes so that he’ll realize just how important you are to him... and once he does, I’ll crush him. I’ll destroy his spirit completely. And so, little one,” he gave Haru a chilling smile, “I must really thank you. Without you, my revenge would have been impossible to complete.”

“Argh, I knew this was somehow going to involve that bastard again!” Gokudera growled angrily as he and the others sat around Tsuna’s kitchen table. He would’ve lit a cigarette as well, but knew Decimo’s mother didn’t like it when people smoked inside the house. Instead he began to tap his fingers obsessively on top of the table.

“So where do we go from here?” Yamamoto’s voice was soft, a grim frown on his face.

“We have to find Haru-chan,” Tsuna began and hesitated. “I... I think we should call Hibari-san about this. He knows Hideo better than all of us so he should have a higher chance of finding Hideo... and hopefully Haru-chan’s well.”

“It’s that bastards fault from the beginning anyways.” Gokudera griped. “If it wasn’t for him, that stupid woman wouldn’t have been kidnapped twice! Why the hell is that crazy bastard kidnapping that woman for anyways if he’s targeting the stupid Prefect?”

Yamamoto casually leaned back on his seat, an unreadable smile on his face. “It’s because Hibari cares for Haru-chan as well.”

There was a pause of silence before a yelp from Gokudera and Tsuna. “What?”

Reborn sighed. “You’re hopeless, Tsuna.”

“Am not!” Tsuna yelled. “I-I mean, I knew something was going on, but to that level? This is Hibari-san we’re talking about!”

“Exactly! What exactly happened that he’d actually care about her? God, I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about him care about her.” Gokudera began to run his hands up and down his arms frantically. “Oh man, but that explains why he was acting so weird while Haru was training with us.”

“As amusing as it is to see you two have a meltdown over this revelation, Haru-chan is in trouble.” Bianchi reminded.

“Well I’m not going to be the one to tell the freaking Prefect if he actually does care about her. If he goes crazy when Namimori Junior High gets damaged, who knows how he’d react if he finds out that Haru was kidnapped for the second time!” Gokudera proclaimed.

After Hideo left, Haru was left alone in the storage room. Just as before, she was surrounded in darkness and empty boxes. Her mind was blank other than the words he had imparted her with.

Hibari cared about her?

He... he actually loved her?

She found that fact hard to grasp, a hand reaching up to touch her head. She felt the heat radiating from her face and realized how hard she was blushing.

No way! No way, he didn’t think about her like that! He stole kisses and was possessive, but that didn’t mean he loved her! Hibari Kyoya was different from normal boys. He didn’t understand what it was like to actually love someone.

But... that was exactly what Hideo had said as well. That Hibari was oblivious to the truth.

Her throat tightened as she remembered how Hideo proclaimed that he would use Hibari’s feelings against him. That was just too cruel. One’s feelings were precious, especially if it was in regards to love. To use that against someone, as though it was some sort of weapon...

Haru clenched her eyes shut. She couldn’t allow that to happen. Hibari had been hurt enough the last time he met Hideo. She refused to allow him to meet that jerk again!

With that in mind, Haru stood up and walked towards the door. Hideo probably thought she was an idiot and wouldn’t dare to dream that the door was unlocked again. After all, what fool would try the same thing twice? And based on that assumption, they would actually do the same trick again. But she could tell what sort of person Hideo was and what type of tricks he would use.

He was the cocky type and as he had said explicitly before, he wanted to destroy a person’s spirit. She wouldn’t be surprised if he was trying to use his old plan again, to have her appear at the grand stage when everything was too late.

Her hand grasped the lock and slowly turned it, a small smile creeping over her face when she realized it was indeed unlocked. However, she didn’t open it. Faintly, she could hear Reborn-chan and Gokudera-kun’s voices in her head. While she did ask Gokudera-kun for help on how to get stronger, he had mostly taught her about strategies since his way of fighting would be too dangerous for her to try and emulate. Not to mention, she refused to smoke no matter what. Occasionally Reborn-chan would make an input of his own.

Carefully observe your surroundings. Find tools that would be of use for you. Never act rashly. You must always be in control, both of your surroundings and of yourself.

Trying to find a weapon in this place was pointless. Though there were storage boxes in here, everything was mostly filled with random junk that wouldn’t be useful to use as a weapon. All together they had some weight, but carrying and then throwing boxes at people didn’t seem smart. Also, trying to force her way through, especially when she didn’t even know how many enemies were out there, would be stupid. She’d probably just get knocked out again and maybe in placed in a locked room this time.

Haru bit her lip before crouching down, looking underneath the door to see the feet roaming around.

Three people...

Could she handle three people alone by herself? She had trained with Tsuna-san, Yamamoto-san, and Gokudera-san, but she had never attempted to fight or defend herself when she was alone, let alone against three people.

Haru tightly clenched her hands into fists.

She didn’t have a choice here.

A loud feminine scream of pain filled the hallway and one of the thugs lifted his head. “What was that?”

“Probably the bitch boss brought in. She must’ve hurt herself while trying to walk around in that room.” Another remarked, tossing down the cards he was playing with another muscle-head. “Haha, bitch, got you.”

“Fuck you!”

There was a whimper of pain this time.

“...you don’t think she really hurt herself, do you?”

“Nah, she probably tripped over something and is whimpering over a small bruise. You know how chicks are like, crying over everything.”

“Yeah, but what if she’s really hurt? The boss isn’t going to be happy if she doesn’t escape out again like last time.”

“Aw man, can’t you see that I’m on a role here.”

“Shut up and just come with me.”

The first thug opened the door, light flitting into the darkness. Finding no one in the middle of the room, he frowned and entered in, followed by the other two. It was then he noticed the tower of boxes onto the side. Haru, who was on the other side of it, leaned against the wall and pushed with her feet against the boxes, causing the boxes to fall to the side.

“Oh sh-!” the words were covered in yells and crashes as the boxes fell.

One of the men was knocked out, buried under the boxes, but there were still two more to go. Haru rushed towards them. The element of surprise was still with her. It didn’t matter if she needed to fight dirty. She had to get out of here!

She kicked the closest man between the legs, the force of it causing the man to pale drastically before he let out a high pitched scream, falling forward with his hands clutching the tender organ. From the corner of her eye, she saw the last remaining thug throwing a punch at her. Haru side-stepped him, though his fist still skimmed the side of her face. Bearing the pain, Haru threw herself into the man, using her entire weight to shove him into the wall. All her exercises with Tsuna-san were paying off since not only was she stronger, she was a little faster.

There was a groan of pain as she had shoved him headfirst into the wall. Haru pushed against the man and stood up, breathing hard as she looked around wildly to make sure there was no one else about to attack her. Finding none, she rushed out of the door, locking it behind her.

Her cheek burned with pain and her blood was pumping quickly throughout her body, but she had done it. By herself, she had managed to find a way out!

The triumph was short-lived as she set her priorities straight. She had to get out of here before anyone else discovered that she was out. Haru looked around and smiled when she found a long metal pole in the corner of her room.

It looked heavy, but it would be the perfect sword for her.

Hideo smiled as he sat on the black bench within one of the many parks of Namimori. A tall tree was right behind the bench, often providing shade for those who strolled into the park during the day. Oh how many memories he had of his place. The scar on his face ached and a vicious smile appeared on his face. Yes, a great deal of memories indeed.

“I’ll get you, you fucking brat!” Hideo howled with the blood covering his face, one hand touching the wound while the other leaned against black bench in front of a large tree. It was hard just trying to stand, several broken bones and bruised muscles draining him of his strength. “Just watch me! I’ll get my revenge!”

“Ah,” Hideo purred softly to himself. “I’m almost there. After all these years...”

His revenge was soon going to be complete.

Chapter Eleven

HappyFace1886

Haru fidgeted under the gaze of the beautiful woman that stood in front of her. That idiotic pervert! Leaving her alone with a stranger without telling her anything! It had come as a massive shock to Haru when she had awoken in a daze, having completely forgotten what had happened last night, only to see the faded green eyes watching her in a mixture of curiosity and amusement. Of course, she just had to have acted ungracefully right after, screaming in surprise before rolling off the bed.

Hahi, Haru mentally moaned, why couldn’t the world just swallow her whole already?

“A-Ano,” Haru began slowly before smacking herself mentally. No Japanese! She was in Italy! The pervert might know Japanese, but that didn’t mean everyone else did! “I mean-.”

“You are Miura Haru, correct?” the older lady said in fluent Japanese.

Haru’s face perked up and she nodded eagerly. “Yes, my name is Haru! Um... a-and you are?”

“My name is Bianchi,” she answered with a curt nod. “I’ll be your guard during your stay within the Vongola facilities.”

“G-Guard?” Haru stammered out before her eyes ran up and down the woman’s figure. She wasn’t wearing the same black suit as the others had been. This person was more stylish, Haru’s keen eyes catching some of the latest designer outfits adorning Bianchi’s figure. She quickly turned her gaze away when she realized she was staring. “I’m sorry...”

“Its fine,” Bianchi crossed her arms, appraising the girl in front of her herself. “The Decimo has prepared some clothes for you to change into.”

The blush on Haru’s face bloomed brighter and she cursed the pervert in her head over and over again. She clutched onto the blanket even tighter, making sure it was completely around her disarrayed clothes, before she bowed her face. “I am so sorry that you had to see something like this.”

Bianchi arched an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“I-I mean, being forced in this uncomfortable position because of your bo-.”

“Don’t be mistaken,” Bianchi cut her off smoothly. “I don’t work under that troublesome kid. In fact, if anything, I’d rather end his life right here and right now.”

Haru’s eyes bugged out in surprise.

“Ever since the brat came along, Reborn has had no time for me at all.” Bianchi muttered under her breath.

“Erm... s-so you don’t work for-.”

“Of course not,” Bianchi threw her hair over her shoulder, resting the majority of her leg so that her hip was cocked out towards one side. This was the pose of a woman of power, not someone who was under the ruling of another. “I’m here merely because of a favor.”

“A favor?” Haru echoed blankly.

“I’m sorry for asking this of you, Gokudera-kun.” Tsuna said softly. “I know you and your sister don’t exactly have the best relationship.”

From against the wall, Bianchi’s eyes seemed to try and pierce through Tsuna. The younger boy didn’t seem to notice or care, causing the ire of the older woman to grow. She would have thrown one of her special dishes at him if it wasn’t for the fact that he was now the Decimo of the Vongola and his skills were much too powerful for her to even attempt to fight him.

“No,” Gokudera rushed with a bow. “It’s my honor to be of use to the Decimo!”

Bianchi gritted his teeth, though she didn’t miss how Tsuna’s eyes seemed to grow cloudy at his words. Tsuna’s arm twitched, as though he was about to reach out and touch Gokudera by the shoulder, but he seemed to change his mind at the last minute as the usual alert two-toned eyes returned. “Regardless, you have my gratitude.”

“So what’s so important that you had to call me out here?” Bianchi inquired with a coolness that made Gokudera glower at her. “After all, you have a bunch of little maids running around that would be more than glad to do your bidding.”

“Aneki!”

“I need more than the usual to watch over her,” Tsuna explained calmly, untouched by Bianchi’s baiting tone. Bianchi tensed when those unusual all-knowing eyes turned to her. “I’m counting on you... Bianchi-san.”

“My brother,” Bianchi explained, her expression softening a little. Haru kept silent as Bianchi’s features tightened once more, the ice cold expression of one who has seen more than most should returning once more. “He works under the Decimo.”

“Bianchi-san?” Haru inquired carefully. “What exactly is it that you do?”

A smile crept onto Bianchi’s features as she innocently tilted her head. “I am an assassin.”

A chill went straight down Haru’s spine. “A-A-Assassin?”

“That’s right,” Bianchi tilted her head. Such a normal response. What was it about this girl that fascinated the Decimo?

“I-I see,” Haru said with a nod. Why was she even bothering to get surprised anymore? Yesterday she was assaulted by a red-headed ninja and then afterwards that gun-toting maniac had attacked her. Haru reached up to hug herself.

What exactly was she involved in now?

“Get dressed,” Bianchi said with a nod towards the pile of clothes on the chair. “I’m sure you’d like to get out of here.”

“Is it possible for me to return to Dante-san?” Haru asked quietly.

“Dante-san?”

“I originally came to Italy as an exchange student and my host is Dante-san. He also works for the Vongola... I left without telling him anything,” Haru explained, eyes downcast as her chest tightened. “He must be worried sick about me right now.”

“If this Dante-san really works for the Vongola, than he should’ve already received word about your whereabouts.” Bianchi explained, her eyes softening slightly. However, it was immediately dispelled and replaced with the usual hardness. If this girl was to be in the position the brat wanted her to be in, then she’d need to be better than this.

Tears and kindness didn’t belong anywhere in this dirty world.

“I see...” Haru murmured, her shoulders sagging. She glumly turned her gaze towards the chair where the clothes for her were when her face began to contort into an odd shape. The flush on her face deepened to the point that she was starting to get a little purple. “Bianchi-san?”

“Hm?”

“...what is that?”

Bianchi glanced at the chair. “Your clothes.”

“These-These-These are not clothes!” Haru yelled, the blanket dropping as she reached out to grab what looked like a lacy spaghetti strapped part of... what was this, a dress? This couldn’t be even called a dress! It would be an insult to all clothes out there in the world to even label this as clothes, much less a dress! “It’s too short!”

Bianchi smiled a little. “That it is.”

“A-And this strap! It’s so loose! It’s going to fall down my shoulders! And is this a backless dress?” Haru continued in outrage, lifting up the soft silk material. “Is it transparent too? Why did the idiot even bother giving me this in the first place? He might as well have sent me out there naked!”

Bianchi watched in amusement, not bothering to mention the fact that Tsuna had next to no experience when it came to actually courting someone seriously. He’d throw presents at woman and they’d flock to him or they’d come preening towards him due to his status and power. She wouldn’t be surprised if it hadn’t even crossed his mind that if Haru was to wear the clothes of his choosing, he’d basically be flaunting the goods of the woman he was obsessed over to all the men in the facility.

Oh the bloodshed that would fill the hallways.

Haru glanced underneath the ‘dress’ and found another selection of clothes that weren’t as equally ridiculous, but showed off her shoulders and cleavage. She glowered at it all. These were something she would never wear! What was the perverted idiot thinking?

“So what are you going to wear?”

“Hahi, isn’t there something else I can choose from?” Haru inquired, bemoaning her fate. Nothing in her life has become easy since she had met that troublesome boy!

“No one is always going to be there to give you a hand, Haru.” Bianchi replied simply with a shoulder shrug. “You’re in enemy territory. That’s all you’ve got to work with. What are you going to do now?”

Haru looked at Bianchi in confusion. What did she mean by that? Enemy territory? Sure she wasn’t a part of the Vongola, but she wasn’t their enemy... at least, she didn’t think she was their enemy. One thing was for sure, Bianchi wasn’t going to help her out in her clothes situation.

She bit her lip, looking at the clothes she had in front of her. The material was obviously expensive and trying to mix them around in order to cover herself was obviously not going to work. Haru looked at the dress in her hand in disdain before she turned her attention to the other things in front of her. Sadly, there were no pants at all... only skirts or other slinky dresses.

What the heck could she do with all this?

Bianchi’s words still confused her though. This was all she had to work with? What did she mean by that other than the obvious? Trying to wear these clothes in a specific pattern wasn’t going to help her out... asking for clothes was also out.

Haru perked up in realization before she shyly turned to Bianchi. “Um... is it possible for Haru to make a friend in this enemy territory?”

Bianchi looked at her inquisitive. “If you’re trying to get me to find you some new clothes-.”

Haru quickly shook her head. “It’s nothing like that!”

“Then?”

“...I need Bianchi-san’s help with something else.”

Tsuna sat at the head of the table, watching carefully as the Guardians talked amongst each other. Yamamoto was laughing while Gokudera was threatening to hit him for something he had said. Ryohei was shouting about whatever mission he had been on, but no one was listening. And of course, in the two opposite sides of the table, were Hibari and Mukuro. The tension between them was powerful Tsuna’s budding headache was wondering whose bright idea it was to place those two in front of each other.

“Enough,” Tsuna said sharply, causing the noise to die down considerably. “I’ve gathered you all here for a reason.”

“Obviously,” Mukuro said with a sly grin. “And my curiosity as to why is the only reason why I’ve bothered to arrive.”

“You took the longest, you asshole.” Gokudera snapped, his hackles already raised for anyone who dared to show an attitude towards the Decimo.

“I’m sure Mukuro-san had a reason,” Yamamoto said, placing a hand on Gokudera’s shoulder in case the silver haired boy decided to lunge across the table. However, it was Hibari who snorted derisively at Yamamoto’s words. Though the manipulative smile remained on Mukuro’s face, the chill in the air seemed to grow.

“C’mon, we shouldn’t be fighting with each other!” Ryohei exclaimed and Tsuna sighed. This meeting was going to take a lot longer if they were all talking over each other like this.

“We will be going to war with the Shimon Famiglia,” Tsuna announced out loud, making sure to be extra clear so that everyone would hear his voice. As expected, the noise was immediately silenced. And of course, the one to break it once more was none other than Mukuro.

“Is that so?” he inquired with a chuckle. “As always, you never fail to be predictable.”

“You-,” Gokudera snarled, rising up only to be forced down by Yamamoto.

“You’re nothing more than another one of those typical blood-thirsty mafia leaders,” Mukuro murmured softly, resting his chin on his hand as he watched Tsuna in amusement. “And what makes you so sure I’ll do as you wish?”

“I fight with whomever I want,” Hibari added curtly, his arms crossed as he gave Tsuna a stare that dared him to stop him. Hibari would only enjoy the fight and Tsuna was in no mood for another bout with a fight-maniac.

“The Vongola will fight the Shimon,” Tsuna repeated again, talking before Gokudera could blow up once more over how they weren’t respecting the Decimo. “However, this doesn’t mean I’m asking you to fight for me. I’m simply informing you all to be aware of the situation since you all will be most likely attacked by them.”

“Ah yes, another fine trait of the mafia. Such pristine form of manipulation,” Mukuro said, locking eyes with Tsuna. Two-toned eyes met heterochromic ones. “You know how we are like. If we’re attacked, we would definitely retaliate. And with our personalities, we’re most likely to demolish them so that they will understand how inferior they are to us. When that happens, everything will go as you planned. The Shimon Famiglia would be no more.”

Tsuna leaned against his seat, the expression on his face never changing. The usual unnerving nonchalance adoring his features, preventing anyone from truly understanding what was going through his mind. “If that were to happen, then you acted with no orders of mine.”

“Ah, but what was to happen if things did not go as you predicted.” Mukuro continued. “What if I were to aid the Shimon Famiglia instead? After all, one mafia organization to another is no different in my eyes.”

“Then you’d be killed along with the rest of the Shimon,” Tsuna answered casually, unaffected by Mukuro’s attempt to enrage him. “It doesn’t matter if you betrayed us. Your position would be easily filled by Chrome.”

The mood around Mukuro instantly darkened. Everyone knew of how greatly Chrome was loyal to Mukuro, but everyone also knew of how Chrome had some loyalty towards the Vongola. She would fight for neither if it meant the two were against each other, but that didn’t mean she wouldn’t serve as the Vongola Guardian if necessary. She had too many she cared of that belonged in the organization and would attempt to do everything in her power to protect them.

It was one of the main reasons why Mukuro did not truly stray from the Vongola and everyone was aware of this. Especially Tsuna.

“Are you blackmailing me?” Mukuro’s tone was cold and the air crackled with power.

Tsuna continued returning his gaze without flinching. “I’m merely informing you that you’re expendable.”

“Now, now,” Yamamoto said in a soft, soothing voice. “Everyone is important here. We’re not going to start fighting with each other now. After all, that’s why we were chosen to be the Guardians of the Vongola”

“That’s right,” Tsuna said flatly, the stillness in his eyes growing. “That is why we... that is why I exist. To serve and protect the Vongola.”

“Smart,” Bianchi said in approval, watching Haru sew some of the clothes together. “You’re very skilled with the needle.”

“Haru enjoy making clothes and costumes in her spare time,” Haru said cheerfully, glad that Bianchi had been willing to at least provide her with the sewing materials. At least now she could make these clothes presentable enough to wear. “Something like this is no problem at all.”

“That’s good,” Bianchi said. “Those in the family won’t last long if they aren’t able to be creative. To be able to take advantage of what one has is how one survives in the mafia world.”

“Hahi?” Haru stopped abruptly, almost pricking herself with the needle. “Haru is not part of the mafia! She has no reason to learn how to survive in such a place.”

“Perhaps,” Bianchi sat across from the table Haru was working at. “Hopefully you’ll have a choice in the matter.

AU: Sorry for lateness. Was going to post yesterday but something came up! Also, if Bianchi seems a little cold towards Haru, I felt like it was a bit fitting. She doesn't know who Haru is and at first believes her to be another one of Tsuna's frivolous flings.
