Notes

My first post on tumblr! It's the drafted sequel to 'Bargain' for Giotto x Haru that I didn't like how it turned out. I know a few were curious and now I finally have a platform to post my incompleted or 'drafted/discarded' work! :) Hopefully I'll have time to post other incompleted work or any work that I have written, but didn't have any plans on actually posting on my blog.

As for my current WIP, I'm currently working on Ambigram!

Chapter Four: Monster

HappyFace1886

His fist collided against the face of the man, causing a sickening crack to echo in the air. The man flew and crashed into the wall, causing him to cough out blood. There was a loud angry cry from behind, but the two-toned eyes barely flickered as Tsuna ducked and avoided the metal bar aimed for his head.

He lifted his palm and pressed it against the chest of the man and activated the vibrant flames in his hands. The man screamed in pain at the burning sensation and was also thrown into the air.

Listless eyes watched the man fall to the ground before turning to the others that surrounded him.

“More trash?” Tsuna murmured softly. He slowly turned around, adjusting his coat carelessly before sauntering towards the men who were shifting nervously against each other. The wind blew ominously, causing his coat to bellow around him like a regal cloak. “No matter how many times I clean it all up... only more seem to come...”

“S-Shit, why is the heir of the Vongola here of all places?” one of the men cursed. “Shouldn’t some grunts be the one doing the patrolling?”

Tsuna smiled coldly at them, his impassive eyes giving away nothing.

He appeared so calm, so gentle, to the men before him and yet, an internal fire was glowing angrily within them.

How dare they?

Who the fuck did they think they were?

“Distract me.” He purred against her lips.

Haru’s eyes widened as he crushed his lips against her, hungrily tasting the inside of her mouth while his fingers became entangled within the soft locks of her hair. She whimpered at how harsh his touch was, as though he wanted more and more and wanted it all at once. When he trailed his lips down from her mouth, she couldn’t find it in herself to scream out for help. His lips were trailing down her jaw line, leaving behind a scorching pathway that made it so darn hard for her to breathe.

Intoxicating....

His other hand tugged at the front of her blouse, pulling it roughly to one side so that his lips could kiss the area between her neck and shoulder. Tsuna closed his eyes, lapping away gently at the delicate skin, memorizing the sound of her soft gasps while she struggled to contain these strange sensations he was eliciting from her.

He smiled and nipped at the reddening skin. “Do you like this, Haru-chan?”

His taunting words seem to snap her out of whatever haze she was in and a small growl vibrated throughout her entire body. “P-Pervert, let go of Haru!”

“Pervert?” Tsuna echoed in amusement. “Haru-chan, you know that’s not my name.”

“B-Baka, i-it might as well be your name.” Haru snapped, clinging frantically to the feelings of anger so that she wouldn’t focus on the fact that she was practically sitting on his lap while her blouse was pulled haphazardly to the side. She could feel his hair tickling her nape and.... darn it.... the heat of his breath while he whispered against her wet skin.

Tsuna ran his fingers through her hair, stroking them lovingly while splaying kisses all over her bare skin. Her scent, her taste, her presence.... It made him forget, it made him believe that everything was alright.

His eyes slightly fluttered open and he realized that he could no longer breathe.

She looked so beautiful and so helpless beneath him. Her lips were red after having to endure the onslaught of his hungry mouth. A gentle dust of pink covered her cheeks and she was breathing harshly, her chest heaving up and down for his eager eyes as she desperately tried to breathe. Her hair was strewn all over her head. It made her look so delicious... so inviting...

“How?” he leaned forward, skimming his lips over her collar, enjoying how she whimpered beneath him. “How is it that you have so much power over me?”

Haru gasped when he nipped her collarbone, stroking her sensitive skin with his tongue. She could vaguely hear what he was saying, but she couldn’t understand any of it. Though she had managed to learn how to speak Italian, that didn’t mean that she was completely fluent in it. And it was especially hard to interpret what he was saying when he was d-doing stuff like t-t-this to her.

“P-Please,” she pleaded, hating how soft and feeble her voice sounded. But really, she didn’t think she could handle these sensations anymore. They were driving her mad, destroying any sense she had in her mind.

What was this power he seemed to hold over her?

And why was it that she was unable to push him away?

If it was any other man, Haru knew, without a doubt, that she would struggle with all her might to make him get off her. And yet, with each stroke of his fingers, each brush of his lips, her limbs would weaken and she would just melt.

So why?

Why?

“T-Tsuna!” she cried out sharply when she felt his hand cup her breast. Her brown eyes widened and shock and fear appeared in her glazed eyes. She clung onto Tsuna’s shoulders, her fingers clenching tightly onto the soft material of his clothes. He kissed her cheek and ran his hand through her hair with his other hand.

“My name,” his voice made Haru shiver. “You finally said my name.”

“W-Wait a second,” she stammered. Things were suddenly going too fast for her. One minute he had been mindlessly kissing her while forcing her onto his lap and now she was basically beneath him!

“I like the sound of my name coming from your mouth,” he continued to tease. Tsuna could feel her quivering beneath him, but it was too much fun teasing her. He so badly wanted to slip his hand beneath her bra, to feel the silken flesh just waiting to be toyed with by his fingers. He wanted to feel the heat of her body reacting with his, to raise the sound of her gentle moans to loud cries of pleasure. “Say it again.”

The pink on Haru’s face darkened to a deep red and she whimpered. Oh gods, oh gods, he was pinning her to a corner and he knew it too! By saying his name, she would be conceding to him. But there was no way in hell she was going to willing give in to him! But... But if she didn’t...

Haru bit her lip.

There wasn’t any other choice...

“T-Ts-.”

The loud ringing of a cell phone was heard and Haru saw Tsuna’s face darken. The teasing smile she was so used to disappeared and his eyes narrowed, irritation and anger fleeting through his face. The phone rang loudly, but he didn’t move for a few seconds before he sighed.

He caressed her cheek and then leaned closer, brushing his lips against hers. It was so soft and gentle that Haru almost felt as though he hadn’t touched her, but the feel of his breath against her lips and the way he kissed the corner of her lips as well told her this was all too real.

“Next time...” he promised. “We’ll continue this next time.”

With those words, Tsuna regretfully pulled away from her and walked over to his fallen coat. He pulled out the cell phone and threw the cloak around himself. Tsuna could feel Haru’s eyes on him and unable to discontinue his teasing, he turned his head and gave her a cocky grin. “Be prepared because next time I’ll have you screaming my name.”

His words made the flush on her face grow even more and Haru grabbed the nearest object and threw it at him angrily. The heavy book slammed into the closing door. “The only reason why I’ll be screaming your name next time is because of how much of a pervert you are!”

His laughter echoed even behind from the closed door.

It had been such a sweet moment and yet, it had all been ruined by these bastards. Tsuna watched the men shake and felt his mood worsening.

There was another reason why Tsuna, out of all people, had been called over to take care of these scum.

Tsuna raised his hand, pointing his glowing hand towards the men. “Tell me whose Family you are affiliated with.”

“As if we’d tell you Vongola bastards something like that!” one of them spat.

Tsuna smirked. “Why, afraid I’ll go and kill your leader?”

“Why you-!”

“It’s more along the lines of how we don’t want to soil the hands of our leader with the dirty blood of someone like you.” Another hissed. “You’re nothing but a filthy traitor that deserves to d-gack!”

The glowing fist slammed into his face and sent him flying. “You’re too loud.... not to mention, messy,” Tsuna said at the sight of the man’s blood splattered all over his fist. He sighed and reached for his handkerchief, wiping away the blood. This was such messy work. “Now boys, are we going to play nice or do I need to teach you another lesson?”

“S-Shimon,” one of the finally stammered. The man was unable to tear his eyes of his boss who was gagging on his own blood due to the broken nose. “W-We are of the Shimon Family. Please, we told you! Now let us go!”

The man was kicked in the stomach and he fell forward, clutching it. Tsuna sighed. “Fool, do you think that just because you told me what I want that I’d let you go? What kind of mafia member are you?”

“M-Monster,” the man clutching his stomach gasped out and Tsuna kicked him on the face.

A monster...

Yeah... that was what he was...

Haru’s scent was so sweet and soothing. Just holding onto her like this was so comforting. His heavy body relaxed and he allowed his restraints to loosen. For far too long has he always been on his guard. Even within his own home within one of the many Vongola manors, he was never able to relax.

Did a spy get in?

Was an enemy plotting an ambush?

Was one of his men suddenly going to turn on him?

What about the food? Was it spiked with poison?

Even with his Guardians around, Tsuna didn’t feel safe. Ever since he had been brought into the mafia, he had learned the hard way that survival was no easy task. His life was at risk every step of the way and if he didn’t learn to adapt, he was going to die.

Die like trash, as Xanxus would say.

But he was the heir.

He was the one who was to lead these people in the future.

Death wasn’t the only problem he had.

He had to be strong.

He had to put up a front.

After all, a weak leader was a useless one.

One better off dead.

But around her, it didn’t matter. He could just be himself, to tease her and talk to her as he pleased. Perhaps it was due to how she didn’t know of his true identity, but the fire in her, the honesty in her eyes, it attracted him to her.

She was everything he wasn’t and everything he wanted.

That fire she had, he wanted to consume.

It also made Tsuna want to sigh.

Reborn was always right. No matter how hard he tried to hide it, the darn baby had a way of figuring out everything, even before Tsuna understood it himself.

Tsuna was all too aware of the truth.

He was addicted.

And there was no turning back.

Tsuna leaned against the wall. The men crumpled on the ground were alive, but wouldn’t be for long if they didn’t receive any treatment.

The Shimon Family...

He pulled out his cell phone and speed dialed a number.

Just for a little longer...

Just a little bit more...

He wanted to lose himself to his addiction...

“It’s me.” Tsuna whispered quietly before looking up at the night sky, feeling the flames of his will growing brightly within what appeared to be an eternal darkness. “Gather up the Guardians.”

Let me play a little bit more before I return to being a monster.

Genesis: Chapter 02

HappyFace1886

Haru stared in awe at the thick book in her hand, holding it gently as though she could practically feel the importance of it resonating into her fingertips. Reborn stood below her with his all too familiar grin on his face as he watched Haru, with careful hands, slowly open the book.

“R-Reborn-chan?” Haru stammered.

“This is an important job that I’m giving to you,” he explained, jumping on top of the nearby table so that they could see eye-to-eye. “I can’t trust anyone but you on this.”

“B-But why Haru?” she still couldn’t understand why Reborn-chan would do something like hand her a book that wrote down the entire history of the Vongola. Knowing the enemy was one of the fundamental ways of destroying said enemy, so if this book was to end up in the hands of the wrong people, Vongola could easily take on a fatal blow.

“Trust me on this,” he said as Haru clutched the book tightly to her chest. “You of all people need to understand the history of the Vongola.”

She still couldn’t understand Reborn-chan’s motive, but she heard the seriousness in his voice and gulped loudly. Reborn-chan was entrusting her with this important book... and there was no way she didn’t trust Reborn-chan. He was the one who taught Tsuna-san on how to be strong and, not to mention, he was a mere child!

An extraordinary child, but still an innocent child.

Inhaling deeply to calm her nerves, Haru nodded. “Haru will do her best!"

Her vision was blurry as she slowly opened her eyes. Haru whimpered at the feel of the pounding headache in her head and how the world seemed to be moving beneath her. Unconsciously, Haru clutched onto the person she was holding onto only to freeze.

S-She was on someone’s back?

With fear seizing her heart, Haru began to struggle, trying to ignore the nausea and the weakness in her limbs. And to make matters worse, Haru felt the tears starting to appear in the corner of her eyes.

Why was this happening to her?

What was going on?

The last thing she remembered...

She couldn’t stop the gasp as she momentarily stilled.

The memory was so vivid...

The wind blowing gently as it caressed the wild mane of gold...

The curious and shock stained two-toned eyes...

Haru shrieked when, whoever she was holding onto, lost their balance and the two came tumbling down onto the floor. She winced when her head hit the ground, but since it was dirt and not cement, the pain wasn’t as strong as it could be. However, the pain didn’t even register in her mind. The fact that the nausea she felt had doubled didn’t even come across her mind.

The mesmerizing two-toned eyes that held a fire that made her breath still and the sun-kissed skin that held a strong, healthy glow. His hair was wild and untamed, growing wildly around his hair just like...

Like...

Tsuna-san....

The tears that had been appear resumed and Haru couldn’t stop the sob that escaped her. She reached up and covered her eyes streaming with tears, wanting to hide away from those strong eyes that reminded her of Tsuna-san... her past...

Just where was she?

She wasn’t stupid. There were times when she was oblivious, but being naïve didn’t mean she was unintelligent. Haru knew all too well she was in the past, much further than her own timeline, but the question was why? Had it been on accident?

But the signs she had noticed before arriving here made it painfully obvious of the truth.

Shouchi’s sad smile...

Reborn-chan and the book containing Vongola’s entire history...

Haru sniffled, wanting the tears to stop already. She had already learned that crying won’t solve anything... but at least back in the way future, she had Tsuna-san and the others to rely on. She had friends to depend on and talk to, but here, she had no one.

She was all alone.

A cool hand gently touched her hand and Haru gasped. Pulling her hands away from her eyes, Haru’s heart clenched when she saw the two-toned eyes. They appeared concerned and Haru felt him brush her cheeks softly with the back of his hand softly, wiping away her tears. He began to speak, but Haru couldn’t understand what he was saying.

But the calm, deep tenured voice of his was so soothing...

“G-Giotto-sama,” Haru whispered miserably and she felt him still on top of her. The flush on her face that had appeared due to her tears deepened and this time, for different reasons. Haru had forgotten that they had fallen on top of each other. She was about to ask him to get off when he began to speak again.

This time, his voice was urgent and questioning, but she still couldn’t understand what he was saying.

“W-Wait, wait!” she cried out. “I-I don’t understand what you’re saying!”

Her confusion seemed to reach him as he stopped speaking. Giotto frowned and appeared to be deep in thought, as though trying to find a way to reach her with his words.

“S-Sorry, but can you p-please get o-off of me?” Haru asked weakly.

He blinked at her and Haru sighed. She placed her hands on his chest and began to slowly push against him. Understanding what it was she wanted, he gave her a smile and a nod before rolling to the side off of her. Haru sat up quickly, clutching her beating heart. How could he do something like that and be so unaffected?!

Haru internally shook her head. Now wasn’t the time to be thinking about stuff like that. There were more important things to consider.

Carefully, Haru snuck a glance towards Giotto only to give out a small ‘eep’ when she realized that he had beaten her to the punch and was openly staring at her. Haru felt the blush that had yet to go away grow even brighter and tightened the fist over her heart.

What was she supposed to do in this situation?

For goodness sake, they can’t even communicate with each other!

She was brought out of her panic when she saw Giotto point to himself.

“Giotto,” he said carefully before pointing at her.

Haru stared dumbly at his finger before the epiphany hit her. “Oh! Y-You want to know my name. Um...” she pointed at herself. “Miura Haru.”

Giotto stared at her for several seconds before awkwardly stating her name. “Miura... Haru...”

Haru nodded eagerly. “Yes, Haru is Haru!”

There was a pause in the air and Haru could already see the confusion in Giotto’s eyes. “Miura Haru... Haru?”

Oh gods, the blush on Haru’s face grew even more. At this rate, she was going to be permanently red. Not only did she cause him to become confused, he’d called her by her first name only...

Haru shook her head. “N-No, Haru... I... uh...”

There was no way she could explain to him the complexities of formal honorifics and suffixes that meant close relationships. And there was the fact that she could no longer refer to herself as Haru...

‘Suck it up, Miura!’ she scolded herself. ‘You’ve endured staying in the dangerous future, you can surely adapt to this!’

Haru pointed to herself again. “Haru.”

Giotto looked at her. “Miura Haru?”

Haru shook her head. “Haru.”

Perhaps it would also be best to abandon her last name. She was in the past, after all. Then a crazy thought went through Haru’s head. Wouldn’t it be funny if she were to meet her ancestors? ...that is... if she ever got out of Italy... if this was even Italy...

There were too many things she didn’t know! That reminder only caused a stab of terror to hit her. She was all alone in the past. This time, there wasn’t Tsuna-san, Reborn-chan, or anyone to support her.

But...

Haru stole a glimpse of Giotto.

But she had him... right?

The expression on Giotto’s face changed and Haru looked at him in confusion only to notice his glance downwards. Haru looked down and yelped, realizing that she had unconsciously clutched onto his sleeve. Releasing him immediately as though the touch had burned, Haru crawled backwards until she crashed into a tree.

“I-I’m sorry!” she cried. “I-I didn’t mean to... I... I mean...”

Oh gods, she was crying again. Why was she crying again? Didn’t she just recently say to herself that she wasn’t going to cry?

But this was all too much for a normal middle-school student like herself to handle!

Haru sniffled and rubbed her eyes, wishing for the stupid tears to stop.

This was all too hard...

And it was especially hard because she was all alone this time...

Haru paused and looked upward when a shadow descended upon her. Giotto stood in front of her with the sun blazing behind him. The light of the sun added a glow to his already radiant blonde hair and his already sharpening features of maturity added a regal look about him. He kneeled before her and once again touched the side of her cheek, wiping the tears away.

Haru choked back the sob when he gave her an encouraging smile.

No...

That was wrong.

She wasn’t alone.

This time...

...she had him.

AN: I think... my brain died a little.... @x@

Hope you guys like it~

And now to explain how I'm planning on writing Genesis. I've decided that it's gonna be border-line PWP, but in actuality, there is a plot, in the sense that it'll be following a made-up story of the life of the Primo. However, it's PWP in that it's like taking the scenic route... kinda like having connected one-shots. ^^ Sometimes the chapters will be long, sometimes the chapters will be short. Er... I guess you'll have to read to actually grasp what I'm saying if what I said was confusing. Haha.

Don't worry, it may seem gloomy right now, but I tend to add a lot, and I mean A LOT, of fluff. :3 Stay tuned for the next chapter~ !

EDIT: Note to the first comment! @x@ I was told that PWP meant Plot? What Plot? ....not... that....

Chapter 01                                             Chapter 03

A NEW BEGINNING!! Day 07

....I'm sure the title kind of gives away.... but....

Dx waaaah!! It breaks my heart to officially report that Mr. Happy is no longer in this world. A few months ago, I had sent him to my house since he was getting too big for my dorm, but when I returned home.... he was all dried up!!!

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! MY BABY IS GONNEEE!!!

And to make matters worse, the forks that I had so carefully placed for him... they... they... THEY WERE LIKE GRAVE STONES FOR HIM!!! Since all of Mr. Happy was dried up, there was nothing but the forks left!!!

....I'll be honest though... when I thought of that fact, I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry....

When Mr. Happy died... sniffles.... my sister got me a new 'plant'.

And I say 'plant' because... well...

Ehehe... yeah, he's a solar powered plant. 8D
Kind of like a real plant since he also lives off
of sun light!!

Don't get me wrong, he's not Mr. Happy, but he works really hard
Always waving his petals up and down under the glorious and burning
sunlight. xD

Also, I had lent my mini-pot -Mr. Happy's original home- to my friend
so she can also grow something. But since her plant also got too big for it,
I got it back and now....

MR. HAPPY, YOUR WILL TO LIVE WILL NEVER
BE FORGOTTEN!!!!

A NEW GENERATION HAS COME FORTH!!!

Welcome to this world, my dearest love.
Grow strong and make your big brother proud! :3

Hehe, I have no idea what plant it is this time so let's take the journey together.

Today is DAY 07!!!

A new journey begins! 8D

-----

My dearest Opi, though you have scolded me about not disappearing again, alas, I had foolishly done so again, and for that, I must sincerely apologize. Grief, chaos, and, of course, the evil prison known as school, has prevented me from chatting with your fine self. ^^ Thank you for following Mr. Happy for so long. I'm just sad I wasn't able to post pictures of the tragedy.... >.<

And also to my dearest Anonymous reader, I hope Mr. Happy's death won't hinder you into growing plants. He would be very sad if his death were to discourage you. If you did start growing anything, feel free to send me pictures! I'd really love to see anything you've grown! 8D

----

And now... before I end this....

O___O I need a name for my new baby!

Any suggestions?

Genesis: Chapter 01

HappyFace1886

Home...

They were finally going home...

Haru smiled softly as she sensed the comfortable, happy atmosphere that filled the base. It had been so long since anyone had felt this much joy. They had lost so much, but they had gained so much as well. Since Tsuna-san had emerged victorious in his battle against Byakuran, those losses would change as well.

Everything had turned alright in the end.

"Are you alright Haru-chan?"

Glancing up, Haru saw Kyoko standing beside her with her usual charming smile. Haru gave Kyoko a reassuring smile before turning her attention back on the opened book on her lap. "Haru is fine. She's just going crazy because of all the information Reborn-chan is making her memorize."

"Oh, yeah," Kyoko took the empty seat beside Haru. Though the two had been given house-hold duty, Reborn had given Haru an extra task. "But I don't understand. What's the purpose of you memorizing the history of the Vongola?"

Haru shrugged, turning a page. She had already managed to go through the book twice during their time here in the future, but wanted to take extra care to make sure all the information was clearly in her memory. "I'm not sure, but I'm sure Reborn-chan has a very good reason. But Haru is happy to do this if it means she'll be able to help everyone in some way."

"Well, that's that then." Kyoko said with a serene smile as she rose up. "I'll leave you alone to study. I'm going to go check on the others. Don't forget that we're going to leave soon."

"Of course not! I want to go home more than anything." Haru said, waving at Kyoko who left with an amused smile. "Okay now, Haru, back to work."

She turned the page of the thick book Reborn had given her and then paused when she saw the picture of Giotto, the Vongola Primo. Her mind flashed back to the battle against Byakuran and despite all the light flashing about, she had managed to catch a glimpse of the stoic leader of the Vongola.

He had the wild, untamable hair like her Tsuna-san, but while Tsuna-san's hair was a shade of chocolate brown, the man's hair had been a blinding shade of gold and yellow. Though the distance between them had been great, Haru had seen the glow of his eyes and the power that resonated within them. It had made her gasp and while others had been too absorbed by what was happening to notice, Haru had been the only notice how he had briefly glanced at her.

Haru shook her head wildly.

No, no, no, no, nooooo!

"Haru, you stop this right now." She chastised firmly, a deep blush on her face. "You're thinking of strange things because you were worried... wait... but if I was worried, shouldn't I have been too focused on the situation to have noticed his glance? Wait, wait, stop thinking of stupid things! Bad Haru, bad!"

Haru turned to close the book, but stopped before the book could close all the way and cover the picture of Vongola Primo. She hesitated and bit her lip, slowly opening the book back up. Her heart hammered in her chest and she could feel heat gathering in her face. Gods, she must look like tomato right now!

"O-Okay, that's enough." She mumbled more to convince herself and closed her eyes tightly, closing the book. "H-Haru has to hurry and meet the others! It's a-almost time to leave!"

"Are the coordinates set?" Reborn asked as he hopped on top of a nearby seat, allowing him to attain a clear view of the screen. Standing beside him was Shouichi and Verde. All of Shouichi's focus was on the complicated keys of the machine while Verde watched on, an enigma of a smile on his face.

"Yes, just a few more keys and it will be set." Shouichi replied, never lifting his gaze from the keys when he suddenly paused and glanced hesitantly at Reborn. "A-Are you sure about this? What if... What if you're wrong about this? What you're asking me to do is irreversible and if you're wrong about this, Tsuna-kun and everyone else will never be able to forgive me and I... I'll never be able to forgive myself."

"Foolish boy," Verde murmured with a chuckle, his lips curling into a sinister smile. "There's much you don't know about this world so just listen and do what you're told."

"I'm sorry to be placing such a burden on you," Reborn said, ignoring Verde. "But for the sake of Tsuna's future, this has to be done. All of this was meant to have happened... we're just following the course that had been laid out."

Shouichi gulped and resumed his work. He really hoped Reborn was telling the truth about this and that everything worked out in the end.

If not, the future of Vongola looked bleak.

"Is everyone set?" Tsuna asked out loud, spinning around to check if everyone was present. His eyes lit up when he saw Kyoko entering the room and gave her a shy wave, which she returned. Haru, who had entered the room with Kyoko, saw this and, seeing as how all of Tsuna's attention was on Kyoko, slowly made her way to the side.

She watched sadly as Kyoko and Tsuna chatted together and leaned against the wall. In the past, she would have pretended to be oblivious and run towards Tsuna to make her greetings, but after the events of the future, she couldn't muster up the will to do so.

Haru envied how strong Kyoko was. While Haru had ended up crying and wanting to go home, Kyoko had been silent and provided the strength Tsuna needed despite how much she had also probably wanted to go home as well. Haru had felt like such a child, a big baby that needed coddling, and it was because of this realization that she backed off a little.

'Tsuna-san...' Haru thought wistfully, watching how Tsuna seemed to glow brightly at just being able to talk to Kyoko.

"Have you finished the book I lent you?" Haru squeaked in surprise and glanced down to see Reborn.

"Ah, Reborn-chan," she said with a sheepish smile. "Yes, I finished the book and memorized everything, just like you told me to!"

"Very good," he said.

"Um... Reborn-chan, if you don't mind me asking, what's the purpose of me memorizing the book?" Haru asked, bending down so that they were both eye-to-eye. "Do you... Is it because it might be of some use to the others in the future?"

Reborn smiled at her. "You can say that, but I'm sure it'll be the most useful for you in the long run. It holds secrets that Nono and myself aren't even aware of."

"Hahi? What do you me-?"

Shouichi's voice cut her off. "Everyone, gather up. I'm going to start the machine."

"You'll understand soon enough." Haru heard Reborn's reply from behind and saw that he was already making his way towards the others. Tilting her head in confusion, she followed nonetheless. Reborn-chan was such a strange baby, but she knew she could trust him.

After all, not only was he Tsuna-san's teacher, but also a baby! Mafia assassin or not, all babies were pure-hearted in the very end!

Smiling cheerfully, she stood next to rest and began to wave goodbye to everyone else. However, Haru paused when she felt someone gazing intently at her. Turning her head, she saw Shouichi's piercing gaze on her. When he saw that he had her attention, he gave her a soft, almost sad yet encouraging smile. Confused, Haru was about to say something when she heard the machine being activated.

While everyone shouted their goodbyes, Haru managed to faintly hear Shouichi whisper something to her.

"Good luck Haru-chan..."

There was a flash of light and Haru squeaked out a 'Hahi!' of surprise before she landed on the soft soil on the ground. She winced and rubbed her back only to freeze, a gasp becoming trapped in her throat.

A beautiful clearing was right in front of her, decorated here and there with tall, majestic trees. It was a sight difficult to find in Namimori since it was a city and if it was home she had been sent back to, this shouldn't be the first thing she should have seen. She should have landed in her bedroom. There should be dolls all over the place, not trees!

"Hahi!" Haru cried pitifully, slowly standing up. "W-Where am I?" Panicking, she looked around. "I-Is anyone here? Tsuna-san? Yamamoto-san? G-Gokudera-..." the words trailed off her lips when she saw curious yet shocked pair of eyes observing her from a tree.

Her eyes widened and her jaw became slacked.

There was a boy around the same age as her sitting under a tree with a book on his lap. He held the corner of the book tightly, his untamed golden blonde hair slowly moving as a soft breeze blew by. He was staring at her in obvious surprise with his two-toned orange-red eyes, but judging by the tenseness of his body, he was also on guard.

Forgetting manners completely, Haru pointed openly at the boy, her face paling quickly as she could feel the intake of this shocking new information being too much for her brain.

"Giotto-sama!" she yelped before falling unconscious onto the ground.
